Fendt 939 Vario: Test winner

Fendt 939 Vario: Test winner of the continuously adjustable tractors in the top tier

“The transmission ML260 effortlessly even drives the biggest Fendt and scores with excellent driving comfort” states the magazine “top agrar” in its comparison of high horsepower tractors with continuously variable transmissions (May/June issue). With 1.9 points Fendt is 0.5 points away from second place.

As a great strength of the 939 Vario “top agrar” points out the superior driving and working comfort, many clear adjustment possibilities, a high traction, tires up to a height of 2.15m and the good processing. “The tractor reaches its 60 km/h comfortably with 1750 motor revolutions. The TMS is automatically active, the driver can choose between the accelerator and the joystick or drive the machine manually.” says the agrarian magazine

The high horsepower standard tractors with continuously variable transmissions faced the comparison. The Fendt 939 Vario came out on top with a score of “1.0”. Drive train and driving comfort were evaluated with “1.5” and engine, cab, hydraulic and PTO achieved the mark “2.0”.

The test was carried out by the agrarian magazine “top agrar” in cooperation with the DLG. The new exhaust gas technology with which the most powerful standard tractors on the market are equipped is a crucial element in the comparison. The objective was to determine the performance of the tractors and which system is more efficient. “It was a comparison full of contrasts: AdBlue against particle filter, continuously variable transmission against Powershifter, farm tractor against allrounder.” comments the magazine.
