Certified Fendt Quality Management System according to DIN EN ISO 9001

The Fendt Quality Management System was certified by an accredited organisation, in our case TÜV, for the first time in 1995. Since then, compliance with the strict requirements of DIN EN ISO 9001 has been monitored through an annual external system audit. To ensure that the requirements are met continuously, these external audits are supplemented by internal audits, which are carried out throughout the year.
Quality and customer satisfaction always have the highest priority at Fendt.

Due to our direct contact with nature and farming, we at Fendt have always kept an eye on our responsibility to the environment when making corporate decisions.
Our environmental certificate according to DIN EN ISO 14001, which we have had since March 2000, is proof for this.

Certified Fendt Occupational Health and Safety Management System OHSAS 18001

The effort we put into our Occupational Health and Safety Management System was awarded a certificate of compliance for OHSAS 18001 in April 2008.

Our activities for quality, environment, occupational health and safety build the three pillars of our Integrated Management System.

Lifetime quality

Fendt’s competence in production is shown in three areas: customer-oriented production process, mastery of cutting edge technology, as well as a certified integrated management system. Experts consider the Fendt factory in Marktoberdorf to be one of the most modern manufacturing facilities in the tractor industry.

Ground-breaking: Customer-oriented manufacturing

All tractors and vehicles are custom-manufactured in house, individually with the equipment the customer has chosen. Day after day, long-lasting, tested Fendt quality is produced here. We are able to achieve this through our highly flexible manufacturing technology, the just-in-time principle and our dedicated employees.

High flexibility through the most modern machining centres

Fendt has equipped its production facilities with highly flexible, computer-controlled machining centres. These are the most important prerequisites for our customer-oriented manufacturing process. Using these machining centres, transmission housings, for example, requiring up to 100 milling and drilling operations can be completed with the component held in just one fixture. The stored programs can be switched from one workpiece to another in a manner of minutes without requiring setup time.

Just-in-Time

Through the just-in-time principle, many parts are delivered directly to the assembly line, on time and in the required quantities.  The company organisation is setup so that the key components from Fendt production - housings, transmissions and cabs - are delivered to the assembly line only 3 hours before assembly begins.

Dedicated teamwork: basis for ongoing improvement

At Fendt, the latest manufacturing technology is ideally paired with teamwork. Motivated employees work independently within efficient groups. Team members are personally responsible for their field of activity and, using their specific know-how, contribute with suggestions for improvement. In this way, for example, the cycle time of transmission parts has been drastically shortened through the ongoing improvement process.
