Fendt is constantly setting new standards in harvesting equipment. Technological milestones, such as the PowerFlow table, have by now become a standard component in high-grade combines. The unique concept of the 9460 R rotary combine, which Fendt launches at the Agritechnica 2007, opens a new era in harvesting equipment. The secret to it success is a large rotor, which attains new dimensions in threshing capacity and straw quality.
Maximum throughput capacity guaranteed
At the heart of the Fendt 9460 R is a large rotor measuring 800 mm in diameter and 3.55 m in length, which ensures optimum crop throughput. The hydrostatically driven rotor significantly increases efficiency, since it operates at a constant speed, independent of the engine. The function of the rotor is divided into four parts: intake, threshing, cleaning and discharging. These segments are perfectly adapted to each other and ensure gentle threshing as well as seamless processing of the crop in the combine.
The newly designed intake system of the rotor reduces crop damage to a minimum. The reason for this is the wide intake auger with spiral-shaped vanes, which constantly feed the crop to the rotor and distribute it uniformly in the threshing area. Under the intake auger, stones and other debris are caught in a rock trap.
The threshing concave, which can be adjusted from the comfort of the cab, has an overall area of 1.75 m² and has nine exchangeable, screw-mounted concave sections. The large rotor guarantees uniform crop flow and the best straw quality. The threshing elements are coated with tungsten carbide and the working side is chrome-plated. This guarantees a long service life.
No extra discharge rotor is required for ejecting the straw, which saves fuel. The straw is either laid down in an even swath or chopped and distributed evenly over the entire working width.
Fast unloading
With a grain tank capacity of 12,300 litres, the unloading intervals match the high threshing capacity. A new type of unloading system empties the tank in 88 seconds. The auger can be swung out automatically, which is a great assistance to drivers when unloading the machine – emptying can only begin when the auger is in unloading position.
Fendt-level ease of maintenance
The 9460 R is designed for maximum durability. Optimum access to all servicing points and a maintenance console facilitate maintenance and servicing work. The CAN bus electronics permit monitoring of the entire machine. The simple and easy to reach drives, with only 13 belts and three chains, are very user friendly and reliable.
