Real-life benefits
SAVE UP TO 11 €* PER HOUR WITH THE 828The difference in consumption of 10 g/kWh diesel (according to DLG PowerMix) means in the 280 hp/205 kW class, a higher consumption of 1.7 l/hr, with 50 g/kWh, five times are much, i.e. 8.7 l/hr. Assuming a diesel price of 1.30 €/l, this means higher diesel costs amounting to 22,620 – 112,970 € in a tractor lifetime of 10,000 work hours. With an AdBlue consumption of 6.9% and an AdBlue price of 0.35 €/l, this results in a savings potential of 297 g/kWh (Sept. 2012) for the 828 Vario in comparison to the average of all tractors tested by DLG/Profi in the PowerMix – that is up to 11 €/hr. |
SAVINGS OF UP TO 11 EURO/HOURWith a fuel price of 1.30 euros, the Fendt 928 Vario reduces operating costs by up to 11 euro/hour compared to the average of all the tractors tested in the PowerMix. This already includes the costs for AdBlue, which amount to 0.35 euro/litre. The AdBlue consumption is about 5-7 % of the tractor's fuel consumption, depending on the application. |
WHERE DOES SAVING PAY OFF? THE TOTAL COST OF OWNERSHIPThe costs for diesel can amount to 65% of the total cost of tractor ownership. The other costs are, for example, for AdBlue®, write-off, servicing and repairs, and insurance. Saving on the biggest item – fuel – therefore has the greatest effect on the total cost calculation. |
