Roland Schmidt, Vice President Fendt Marketing EME, inspired the audience in his presentation not only with Fendt machines, but also with exciting prospects for the future, for example the Fendt e100 Vario. This immediately led to a lively discussion on the potential and area of application of a battery-electric tractor. The topic of telemetry particularly impressed Dr. Alfred Hüttmann. "I find the possibilities of sharing data and using it for analysis incredibly exciting," reports the former managing director of Vollkraft Mischfutterwerke GmbH, in Rendsburg. "When predictive maintenance and the exchange of machine data reduce machine downtime, it saves valuable time and the machines can be better utilized. A great possibilty."

Efficient workflows go down well

Markus Tücking from Borken was enthusiastic after the visit: "I thought it was great how openly and informatively our questions were answered. And during the factory tour, I found the small parts warehouse and its control system very interesting. A friend of mine also stores boards in his woodworking company according to a similar principle, but the size and control of this warehouse are simply impressive."

"An exciting lecture and so much time for questions, I would not have expected that before," confirms Heiko Voß, farmer with a 250 ha farm from Grieben. "I have three Fendt tractors running on my arable farm. So it's exciting to see how the machines are produced. Fortunately, the field work at our farm has already been completed for this year. This week, my family kindly took over the work on the farm, because I didn't want to miss the chance."

As many as 30 Fendt tractors are running on Carl Becken's farm in Loxstedt. "I went along because I am interested in the work processes on other farms and especially those at the Fendt plant. I was very impressed by the organization of the work processes in a plant with so many employees. I can take away some ideas for my own large farm," says the farmer and contractor with around 800 cows. In the summer, he also had a FendtONE tractor for testing on his farm. The driver's verdict: "Easy to operate and comfortable."
