Fendt increases its market share in France

The share of Fendt tractors (51 hp and above) in the French market is up by more than 1% on the previous year, achieving a record of 13.6% in the 2018 financial year, now ranking third in the registration figures.

With this, Fendt has scaled up its market share in France by more than 70% in just 10 years – from 7.9% in 2009 to 13.6% in 2018.

(v.l.) Peter-Josef Paffen, (Spokesman of the AGCO/Fendt managing board) congratulates Fabien Pottier (sales director Fendt France) for this great success.

„Congratulations to our Fendt Team in France on this outstanding achievement," says Peter-Josef Paffen, Chairman of the AGCO/Fendt Management Board. "The market share of Fendt tractors in France has grown consistently over the years. These excellent results are a huge boost to the implementation of our Fendt 2020 Strategy, keeping us on track to produce and deliver 20,000 tractors by the end of next year. Our professional dealer network in France also means we can offer our entire full-line range to farmers and contractors from Brittany to the Côte d'Azur, from the Vosges mountains to Gascogny. One of the success stories is the Fendt Rogator 600, which gained a significant share of the market for self-driving plant-protection sprayers after its launch last year."

More than ever, customers are interested in farming products and machinery that deliver productivity and profitability, as well as outstanding service. The results of the independent Dealer Satisfaction Index (DSI 2018) prove that Fendt also maintains a very cooperative partnership with its sales partners – a relationship based on joint success (source S.E.D.I.M.A.)

"We have always worked very closely with our distribution network. Our common motive is to see continual improvement across the board, providing our end customers with the best machines and most relevant services possible," explains Fabien Pottier, Director of Fendt Sales in France.

The strategy initiated by Fendt two years ago to offer a full-line range of key machines to trade, is also a great support for our sales partners in France. The full-line range offers customers a broad spectrum of professional machines that together form a powerful line-up of products – both in their use and in universal solutions and services. "Our recently launched products – including plant-protection solutions, loading wagons and round balers – have enjoyed instant success among farmers and contractors," says Fabien Pottier. "Our new product groups achieved excellent sales just a few months after market launch."

With 23,158 registrations in 2018 (for both standard and wine harvesting tractors), the French tractor market is still Europe's largest. With 3,145 tractors sold, Fendt has clinched third place in the French tractor league.
