Fendt Tracked Tractor wins at the "Innovations in Agricultural Technology 2018" awards

The winners of the "Innovations in Agricultural Technology 2018" were also honoured by the German Agricultural Publishing house, dlv, at the Conference On Agricultural Engineering in Würzburg on 11 January 2019. Fendt machines scored highly in two categories after judging by the panel of experts and audience.

In the Tractors category, the Fendt 900 Vario MT tracked tractor beat all the other machines in an online public vote, winning 21% of the votes.

Here's the verdict from the specialist journalists:

For the first time, Fendt has entered the market segment of tracked tractors in the top power range of 380 to 646 hp. With the new Fendt 900 Vario MT and Fendt 1100 MT tracked tractors, AGCO/Fendt can now offer high-performance traction machines above 500 hp for professional farmers who need maximum power. The new Fendt 900 Vario MT tracked tractors feature spring-mounted crawler tracks, a suspension cab, a continuously variable gearbox and a low-speed feature. The tractors are available in three output levels: Fendt 938 Vario MT with 380 hp, Fendt 940 Vario MT with 405 hp and Fendt 943 Vario MT with 431 hp (ECE R120).

(fourth from right) Roland Schmidt, Vice President of Fendt Marketing, with the "Innovations in Agricultural Technology 2018" prize for the Fendt IDEAL in the Harvester category.

The new heavy-duty combine, the Fendt IDEAL, won over the panel of judges and the audience in the Harvesters category, coming just 1% short of first place. Roland Schmidt, Vice President of Fendt Marketing, accepted the awards. "The Fendt brand has been known for its tractors from Marktoberdorf for decades. The fact that our tracked tractor from Jackson, US, and our combine Fendt IDEAL from Breganze, Italy, have for a while now received just as much positive feedback as our popular Vario tractors, proves the success of our extended Fendt product range," says the Vice President of Fendt Marketing. "There's a lot of work involved. Both for the engineers who develop the machines and for the production staff who build the machines to such a high standard of quality, but also for the Fendt Sales & Marketing team, who develop and lead the international communication for all our Fendt products. This excellent feedback is the motivation we need to continue to meet the Fendt quality and innovation standards that our customers expect in 2019."
