The Fendt 1050 Vario was presented to the American public on the 10th of February at the Machinery Show. “The reaction to the world’s biggest standard tractor was very positive,” says Josh Keeney, Senior Marketing Specialist, Programs & Promotions. “We even sold the first Fendt 1000 Vario to a farmer during the trade show in Kentucky. That is very unusual for a completely new machine.”
Award for the Fendt 500 Vario
The Fendt 500 Vario series received an AE50 Award from the American Society of Agricultural and Biological Engineers (ASABE) on the 9th of February, during the trade show. This award honours the best products engineered for agricultural, food and biological systems.
From numerous submissions, a group of experts comprising engineers choose some 50 innovative products that offer new technical innovations as well as influence farming and have a positive impact on the market served.
The Fendt 500 Vario garnered the award for its innovations, which are otherwise only available on high-horsepower tractors 200 hp and up in North America. All of the functions of the 500 Vario series can be operated using the Varioterminal. Furthermore, the tractors are equipped with the VarioGuide automated steering system and the VarioDoc documentation system. The front window curves up into the roof of the VisioPlus cab for nearly triple the upward angle of sight and provides a full view of the raised front loader.
