Registration statistics 2015: Fendt sells the most popular tractors

According to the current registration statistics 2015 of the Kraftfahrt-Bundesamtes (KBA, German Motor Vehicle Division), Fendt took the first three places as the most popular tractor ranges in 2015.

Registration statistics 2015

Among the Top 10 of the “Favourites of the Nation” (profi 3/2016), Fendt took the undisputed first place in the registration statistics for four models. “The first three places are taken by the most powerful models of the Fendt 300, 500 and 700 Series. The 313 was registered 790 times,” says the trade magazine profi (3/2016)

Andreas Loewel (Head of German Fendt Sales)

“We completely redesigned the Fendt 300 Vario series in 2014,” says Andreas Loewel, Head of German Fendt Sales. “In the Fendt 300 Vario, our customers find both the technical equipment as well as the comfort of our high-horsepower tractors, such as the new VisioPlus cab featuring the Variocenter with Power joystick or the Varioterminal in the Profi equipment level.”

2nd place for the Fendt 724 Vario

The Fendt 724 Vario took second place with 708 registrations and is therefore close on the heels of the Fendt 313 Vario. “In total, the Fendt 700 Vario series has been the most popular series for many years. Current, independent tractor tests confirm that this range has the best rating in all areas, such as cost-efficiency, comfort and versatility,” says Andreas Loewel.

3rd place: Fendt 516 Vario

In third place of the most popular tractor models is the top model of the 500 Vario series, the Fendt 516 Vario with 450 registrations.

“The Fendt 516 Vario has proven itself in farming as a powerful 4-cylinder with a max. output of 165 hp. Through its extreme manoeuvrability and numerous mounting options, the all-rounder is predestined for versatile operations,” says Andreas Loewel, describing a few characteristics of the Fendt 500 Vario.

In the four important power classes (102-150 hp, 151-200 hp, 201-300 hp and 301-401 hp), which Fendt covered with tractor models 2015, the Bavarian manufacturer took first place in new registrations.

Horsepower League 2015

“We manufacture tractors for all farmers and contractors, who demand the best from their machines,” says Andreas Loewel, Head of German Fendt Sales. “We are especially pleased that so many farmers have decided to buy our efficient Fendt tractors in a tight agricultural equipment market like 2015.”

Company market shares

If one looks at the market shares of the individual agricultural equipment companies, the AGCO Corporation, to which Fendt and the Massey Ferguson, Valtra and Challenger brands belong, tops the chart with 7,474 registrations (23.2 percent market share).
