Widening the doors into the Fendt world with an extension to the Fendt Forum visitors' centre

For sales partners, customers and other target groups, the Fendt Forum in Marktoberdorf is the gateway to the Fendt world. It houses the showrooms, the Fendt Shop and the Dieselross restaurant and is the starting point for every factory tour. The third section of the Fendt Forum opened in October 2013, construction work on the next phase starts in July 2018, and will see the Forum's showroom quadruple in size.

The new exhibition and function hall will span 2,500 m² and measure more than 14 m from floor to ceiling. The entrance gateway is about 6 m tall, plenty big enough for any machine to pass through.

Over the past few years, the Fendt brand has developed into a true full-line provider. Since the Forum was last extended in 2013, the Fendt machine portfolio has grown considerably with forage harvesting solutions, round balers, loading wagons, plant protection solutions and tracked tractors. New heavy-duty machines including the Fendt IDEAL combine and the world's largest standard tractor, the Fendt 1000 Vario were also brought in.

"So we can present an extensive range of machines to visitors during any season and any weather, we need to design a new hall," said Peter-Josef Paffen, Chairman of the AGCO/Fendt Management Board. "The new exhibition hall gives us the chance to train both our regional and international sales partners on the machines themselves. Extending the Fendt Forum is also part of the Fendt 2020 Strategy, as it comes with the premise of offering year-round training for our entire full-line program."

The new hall also offers plenty of space for large events and functions, seating about 2,000 people. "As well as business meetings for all Fendt employees, we also hold other major events at our Fendt Forum," says the Vice President for Fendt Marketing, Roland Schmidt. "Every year we welcome more than 35,000 customers from all over the world to the Fendt visitors' centre. Then there are the 30,000 guests during the Fendt holiday weeks. We train over 500 international salespeople here every year and invite about 2,500 people to our dealer events and Fendt press conferences. We also get a number of external enquiries about using the Fendt backdrop as a venue for events."

The new exhibition and function room will span 2,500 m² with a 6 m-tall gate and measuring more than 14 m from floor to ceiling. This will quadruple the original exhibition area.

The construction costs for the new exhibition and event hall amount to 6.5 million euros. Construction starts in July 2018. The build should be completed with the new section opening its doors to visitors in around a year's time.
