The Fendtgüinos field day in Spain with 4.000 visitors

The Fendtgüinos field day goes into another round – the popular Fendt tractor gathering took place on 6 June, this time held in Cervatos de la Cueza (Palencia). Once again, it was a great success, bringing together 559 tractors, 8 combines, a baler as well as more than 4,000 participants.

The 8th year of the Fendt festival was held on a 26-hectare estate in the heart of the historic Tierra de Campos. The area’s agricultural expertise, especially in cereal crops, and its proximity to other regions specialising in other types of farming such as the vineyards in Burgos and Valladolid and forage harvesting in Asturias and Galicia, were determining factors when choosing Carvatos to present Fendt's full range – the leitmotif of this year’s Fendtgüinos.

Although the weather forecast predicted wind, raising concern over whether the event could take place, the Fendtgüinos gale and, above all, the passion and loyalty of Fendt friends who gathered in Palencia, withstood wind and dust and thereby made sure everyone had an unforgettable day with Fendt.

There was the full Fendt tractor range on show, from the small Fendt 200 Vario through to the coveted Fendt Vario 1050.

This year, the protagonist was the forage harvesting technology, which complements the Fendt Full Line family, making it unstoppable in any field. In action you could see the Fendt Rogator 344 sprayer towed by a Fendt 516 Vario; the Fendt Former 7850 rake working with a Fendt 312 Vario; the Fendt Slicer 3060 FPRC and Fendt Slicer 3670 TLXRC with a Fendt 516 Vario; the Fendt Tigo XR 75 D self-loading wagon towed by a Fendt 824 Vario; and the Fendt Rotana 130 F Xtra 17 baler with a Fendt 313 Vario.

Fendtgüinos was attended by the most prestigious brands in the industry, proudly showing their products in the field (their natural habitat) along with the tractors that show off their full potential. Many of them had already participated in previous editions, while others joined for the first this year to come alongside the Fendt brand at a popular event with farmers, which is a benchmark in the world of agricultural machinery.

Attending: Editorial Agrícola, AgroDei, Agrotécnica, Aguirre, Amazone, Asaja, Coag, Continental, eComercio Agrario, Fertinagro Biotech, Fuse Technologies, Sembradoras Gil, Interempresas, Kivi-Pekka, Lemken, Michelin, Novatel, Ovlac, Portal Tecnoagrícola, Profesional Agro, Repsol, Sigfito, Tanzi, Tierras Agricultura, Timac Agro, Trelleborg, Upa, Vida Rural, AGCO Finance and AGCO Parts.

On the work plots of our partner brands, we were able to test out various work tools such as the combined seeding and brush harrow equipment by Farming; Lemken's Rubin 10/500 KU disc harrows, Aguirre's DP44 spreader and Taurus trailed sprayer; Gil’s suspended sprayer, a Mota seeder and Ovlac's Versatill 4M.

What’s more, Fendt once again had a very special partner, Banco de Alimentos de Palencia – a non-profit organization aiming to alleviate the need for food for the most disadvantaged, which was there to sell its classic solidarity cup. This fully recyclable, environmentally-friendly cup was designed especially for the event and could be purchased for just one euro, allowing visitors to drink anything they want at the event while keeping the field waste-free. Visitors gladly collaborated with Banco de Alimentos, giving all proceedings from the sale of these cups to such an important organization in these times. This year at Fendtgüinos, 2,380 euro was raised and will go directly to those who have nothing to eat. Agrodei, the free mobile app for the agricultural sector could not pass up on the chance to join the project and sponsor the solidarity cup.

The crazy bikes team, Ricircus Wild Riders, with Aleix, Marcel, Joan, Deivit, Joan Francesc and Eduard, performed hair-raising jumps, somersaults and courageous stunts on their bikes. Seeing these young champions jumping with their bikes surrounded by the power of Fendt was, without a doubt, one of the great shows of the day.

Since it began, Fendtgüinos has become the major festival across Spain that celebrates the spirit, pride and joy of belonging to the Fendt community. It is a great opportunity for all Fendt customers and other professional farmers to participate in a unique experience, enjoy an amazing day in the field with fun, food, music, and to see all Fendt machinery in action.

Since 2008, Fendtgüinos has been in Tordesillas (Valladolid) with 99 tractors and 2,000 visitors; Sariñena (Huesca) with 254 tractors and 3,000 visitors; Tordesillas again with 450 tractors and 4,500 visitors; Bellpuig (Lleida) which was attended by 798 tractors and over 4,000 visitors; Albacete with 350 tractors and over 4,500 visitors; Bañares (La Rioja) with 435 tractors and 4,500 visitors; Linares (Jaén) in 2017 which brought together 327 tractors and 4,000 Fendt friends; and recently in Cervatos de la Cueza (Palencia) with 559 tractors, 8 harvesters, a baler and more than 4,000 Fendt friends.

After eating together, the show by a team of Fendt specialists and closing ceremonies, it was time for the most epic moment of the day, when more than 500 "Fendtgüinos" tractors paraded amid the wind and dust cloud, creating a scene worthy of any Mad Max film. Participants were left astounded by this unique conclusion that will remain etched in our memories for years to come.

We look forward to reliving the experience in 2021.
