With a fascination for robotics, the use of neural networks, artificial intelligence and the miniaturisation of agricultural processes, in his role as Project Manager he developed the Fendt Xaver through to its market readiness.

The agrarzeitung farming magazine awards this annual prize to young talent in the agricultural industry. This year, three prizewinners were selected to work on today's hot topics in agriculture: transparency, credibility and smart field solutions. "This award not only makes me personally proud. I am particularly pleased that with the Fendt Xaver we can pave the way towards efficient agriculture. Sowing with the high-precision robot swarms, which are gentle on the soil, is a crucial starting point for reshaping agricultural processes," explains the 31-year-old Buchner, happily accepting his award.

Fendt presents the Xaver robot to Agritechnica visitors for the first time.
