Bales always in perfect shape. Fendt Rotana:
The new generation of round balers.

To keep wear and tear as low as possible, all Rotana models have a freewheel sprocket that can rotate a full 360°. If the baling process is suddenly jammed, the sprocket continues to spin and the bale can slow down and run out. The new freewheel function protects all chamber and drive components from additional wear in the event of a jam.

The new drive concept of the Fendt Rotana also promises longer durability and a better transmission of power from the gearbox to the baler rollers. The main drive is now divided into two chains. The power is distributed more evenly and the drive is even better protected against abrasion.

All new Fendt Rotana Solid chamber models have redesigned press rollers and the diameter at the chamber inlet was reduced. The new position of the rollers means the bales rotate safely, bales are denser and feed throughput is higher. We have also installed a sensor that accurately measures the uniformity of the bale density. From the last 30% of the bale pressing, an indicator on the terminal helps the driver to achieve a uniform bale shape: The driver sees how best to follow the swath; drive more to the right or left.

To prevent the accumulation of dirt between the chains, all Fendt Rotana models are equipped with a dirt wiper for the roller bearings. A rubber mat between the rotor and the binding unit also prevents the dust and dirt swirling around. The binding unit stays clean.

The design has also been further developed for this new generation of round balers. Especially the side door cladding has been visually and functionally adapted. With the Fendt Rotana, customers will have even better access to inside the machine by opening up both sides.

The sophisticated transfer system on Rotana models ensures that every bale is safely fed from the press chamber to the bale wrapping station. A moving transfer arm pushes the bale onto the lower table. To prevent the bale from slipping and to ensure a safer bale transfer, the bale transfer ramp is also equipped with moving side parts. The tilt angle of the main chamber has also been reduced to 8° to improve stability on slopes and the throughput of the combi-machines.

Even with a combi machine, the customer remains flexible: bales can be wrapped or stored without wrapping, e.g. when baling straw. The bale wrapping station has two side support rollers on the left and right, which ensure a good position hold during wrapping.

For more flexibility in wrapping, all Rotana Combi machines are equipped with a film preload as standard. Customers can choose between three different spans, depending on the type and quality of the film. Switch between a tension of 55%, 70% or 90%.

To protect both the bale and the film during transport, you can choose between two bale storage designs. The first option is the gently lay the bales on the ground using a bale mat. The second is to have a front shelf.

Customers can work with the familiar operating systems to control and monitor all processes easily, even with the baler/wrapper combinations. You can work with both E-Link PRO and ISOBUS. An additional control panel also allows manual operation.

There is also the solo wrapper Fendt Rollector 130 as well as the new Fendt Rotana series. This is suitable for both solid chamber presses and variable presses with a diameter of up to 0.90 m to 1.30 m.
