The Fendt 942 Vario was put through its paces on the dynamometer as part of the independent DLG (German Agricultural Society) PowerMix Test 2.0. The cycles mirror practical field and transport work and include tasks with the plough and cultivator, rotary harrow, mower, muck spreader or baler. To rate efficiency on the road, light and heavy transport work are also tested.
"The Fendt 900 Vario's intended tasks include heavy tractive work, and, at 415 hp, this high-end model of the series is significantly more powerful than its predecessor. The result of just 237 g/kWh shows true engineering talent. With the Fendt VarioDrive powertrain and the Fendt iD low-speed concept, we have developed an efficient tractor for heavy-duty but also diverse work, and yet one that is extremely fuel-efficient," says Roland Schmidt, Vice President Fendt Marketing.
