Around 100 selected farmers and contractors from throughout Denmark were invited in the middle of June to Hobro on Jutland, to spend a full day experiencing Fendt forage harvesting equipment in live action.
“This year, we are launching Fendt Katana grassland equipment, including the Fendt Katana field chopper onto the Danish market, says Peter Midtiby, Sales Manager of Fendt Denmark, explaining the purpose of the Grassland Solution event. “The purpose is not only to present the theory to these selected farmers and contractors, but also to demonstrate technical solutions in practice, and they can then check out the chopping quality and quality of work.”
That’s why two tractors with carriages on the back drove alongside the grassland combines during the live demonstrations. This gave visitors an excellent view of the machines in action at all times.

Perfection to the last stalk
Many of the invited farmers and contractors were very interested in the Fendt Katana 65 field chopper and the Fendt Slicer 9314 TLKCB disc mower. The mower combination with a working width of 9.30 m is operated by the ISOBUS implement controller. This gives the driver the option of controlling all functions and settings through the Varioterminal, for example the position and speed of swath merging.

Guests had a close look at the chopping quality of the Fendt Katana: Cutting length, uniformity and excess lengths of the
chopped material were examined. The equipment was also put under scrutiny. The unique swinging frame, which guarantees perfect crop flow, or the 6 feed rollers which compact the harvested crop were hot topics of conversation.
