All advantages in one vehicle: The track system on the new Fendt 900 Vario MT is the result of more than 30 years of experience with track tractors. The wheelbase has been extended to 101 inches; 5 inches longer than previous versions. The total ground contact area is 35 ft² on 25" wide tracks, 42 ft² with 30" and a hefty 47.6 ft² on 34" tracks. This means: more traction, less soil pressure and an optimal weight distribution across the entire contact area even in the case of a heavy load. And, of course, optimized driving comfort.

Unique suspension system

The Fendt 900 Vario MT offers unprecedented driving comfort for a track tractor. This is mainly due to the innovative SmartRide suspension system. The hard-bar is mounted on the frame using coil springs, shock absorbers and silent rubber blocks. With a considerable spring stroke of 8.5 inches, the hard-bar can oscillate by 11° to provide greater tractive ability and more comfort. A coupling rod (track bar) prevents any movement to the side and stabilizes the tracks lengthways.​

Full contact for better traction

The oscillating midwheel design allows for better ground contact and ride quality. On the Fendt 900 Vario MT, they are suspended from the roller frame in a unique boogie-in-boogie system. This way they achieve an enormous swing distance and flexibly adapt the track to the ground contour. Hence the weight is always distributed across a maximum contact area and the entire track is always in contact with the ground.

Optional idler weights cab provide up to an additional 3,500 lbs. of ballast.

The large diameter rear drive wheel provides an exceptional ride and reduces slip.

The durable rear axle is built for the longest service life. The internal oil level can be easily checked through the sight glass.

More grip, less slip.

Constantly under tension

The tracks run smoothly, without any friction. Perfect traction between the drive wheels and the rolling track ensures that the Fendt 900 Vario MT converts its power into permanent propulsion. A hydraulic cylinder mounted on the undercarriage pushes the idlers forward and thus creates tension so that traction is never lost. Since the tensioning system works in one direction, the bearings are reliably protected thanks to the symmetrically acting forces. The hydraulic accumulator automatically sets the right pressure. This is clearly displayed on the 10.4" Varioterminal.

Always running in line: Idler wheel

The front idler wheel keeps the Fendt 900 Vario MT running in line. It measures 37.4 inches in diameter. The idler wheel is also offered in two different widths for different track widths. The correct width supports self-centering of the tracks. The rubber coating of the idlers provides reliable contact with the belt.

Greater longevity with unique midwheel design

The oscillating midwheel design not only provides better ground contact, but also more comfort. The three midwheels are attached to the roller frame via a unique suspension system. The special ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) coating of the snap-in ring inside the rollers reliably prevents heat generation even during continuous operation at high speeds. It also protects guide blocks inside the rolling tracks.

Ensures your progress: Drive wheel

The drive wheel has once again been improved in the latest evolution stage of the track drive. It measures 61 inches in diameter and has a rubber coating with a chevron pattern. The surface offers good self-cleaning properties and thus prevents accumulation of dirt. This results in reliable traction. The optional debris ejector on the inside prevents buildup in the rim after every turn.

The undercarriage components are available in different widths to match the track size you're working with.

Because of its two track design, the 900 Vario MT can easily maneuver headland turns, tight areas, and when hooking up to an implement.
