Since AGCO took over the FELLA plant in 2011, the site has advanced to become a centre of excellence for Fendt green forage harvesting technology. Today, more than 35 mower models, 13 hay tedder types and over 20 rakes are passionately developed and produced at the site in Feucht, Franconia, to meet the demanding requirements of a wide range of operating conditions. The increased challenges posed by the Fendt Full Line strategy, the greater complexity in production and the positive market environment culminated in the laying of the foundation stone for a new production hall and thus in the first stage of the plant expansion, just in time for the 100th anniversary of the location in 2018. With the expansion and the new factory layout, the company now has 18,000 m² of covered space with 12,000 m² of assembly area. The production capacities at the site have increased by about 40 % since the conversion. With these investments, AGCO/Fendt confirms the future-oriented, high importance of the location and the green forage harvesting technology and establishes itself worldwide as a partner for professional and effective solutions in this machine segment.
