Technology

High throughput and gentle on any terrain. The Fendt Katana leaves nothing to be desired. Intelligently controlled all-wheel drive, rear axle suspension and high manoeuvrability are some of the features that make chopping child's play even in difficult conditions.
Tank of the Fendt Katana

Modular & light: the tank concept of the Fendt Katana

The tanks of the Fendt Katana are not only impressive with their high capacity – the modular and robust plastic construction also saves quite a bit of weight. For each of the two models, there is a choice between diesel with AdBlue tank or diesel, AdBlue and water or additive tank. No matter which tank configuration is chosen: The filler caps for diesel and AdBlue are conveniently accessible.

Fully integrated silage additive system

The silage additive system, which can be controlled via the Varioterminal, allows additives to be applied to the crop. In the process, the Varioterminal provides information on the fill level of the tank and the current flow rates. The silage additive is located in the optional 215 litre tank on the right–hand side of the vehicle. By the way, you can also clean the crop flow channel via the dosing unit.
Fendt Katana rear axle

Powerful and gentle on any terrain.

The Fendt Katana 850 has an all–wheel drive concept with increased torque. Due to the increased pull and traction, even hilly terrain and wet conditions are no problem. For the Katana 650, this all–wheel drive concept is available in conjunction with the Kemper 490 Plus. In addition, the Fendt Katana is equipped with a reinforced linkage and higher braking force. The intelligently controlled BalancedGrip all–wheel drive is available as an option.
Fendt Katana with attachment

Nothing is left to be desired.

The rear axle of the Fendt Katana has a very good steering angle. Combined with the compact design of the machines, this achieves very high manoeuvrability. This makes turning operations quick and easy in any situation. Here you benefit from the concept with a longitudinally mounted engine, which enables a particularly good steering angle.

To protect the driver and machine from bumps in the field, the Fendt Katana has height-adjustable rear axle suspension. In addition to the best comfort, this guarantees extra safety and stability even at 40 km/h. Together with the very large tyre selection, the Katana becomes a universal talent on any surface. Extra large tyres with diameters of up to 206 cm and widths of up to 900 mm reduce ground pressure and increase ground clearance.
Man performing maintenance on Fendt Katana

Designed for comfort

The sophisticated design of the Fendt Katana forage harvester makes maintenance a pleasure – and is completed in no time. Every spot is easily accessible, many components can be reached comfortably from the ground at an ideal working height. No component blocks access to the most important inspection and cleaning points. Even the integrated access ladder can be folded down for this purpose, giving the best possible access to the internal components. There is even more unrestricted freedom for maintenance thanks to wide steps on both sides and the generously dimensioned maintenance platform between the chopping unit and the engine.
Fendt Katana with attachment is in the spotlight

Top silages are no coincidence

Nobody knows better than you that high-quality feed is the basis for a healthy herd and high milk yields. However, the production of the best silage is an extensive, complex process that also offers a lot of potential for optimisation. We reveal what percentage is lurking where in our silage special.
The Fendt Katana is a machine with which we are completely satisfied.
