Model overview

AGCO Power CORE80
The fifth generation of the Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 is the first tractor to be equipped with the new AGCO Power CORE80 engine. This new generation of diesel engines sets high standards in terms of performance, efficiency and sustainability and has been developed with the future in mind for the use of alternative fuels. The CORE80 engine delivers outstanding power and torque reserves that meet even the most demanding tasks. Characteristics of the CORE80:
- Fendt iD Low speed concept: 700 rpm (idle) up to 1,700 rpm for maximum fuel efficiency and protection of engine components
- VTG turbocharger with engine braking function for additional safety and control
- Common rail fuel supply system with 2,500 bar injection pressure
- Superior power and torque reserves: Ideal for high tractive power, hydraulics and PTO power
- Maintenance-free valve drive: reduces maintenance costs and ensures optimum engine operation over the entire service life
- 37 mph at 1,450 rpm
Thanks to the tractor management system and the automatic limiting load 2.0, the engine and transmission are perfectly matched to each other, so that the Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 is always optimally operated – optimum fuel consumption with maximum work results.

Added performance concept: Fendt DynamicPerformance
Unlike classic boost concepts, Fendt DynamicPerformance provides performance automatically and without limitation, when secondary consumers such as fans, compressed air supply, air-conditioning or the hydraulic pump need additional power. Fendt DP delivers these in a targeted and situational manner, thus ensuring consistent work performance and productivity.
Even at low speeds in soil cultivation, in transport or for PTO work when stationary with a slurry mixer, feed mixer or wood chipper. This allows you to efficiently use more performance – in a targeted and reliable manner.

Efficient cooling with the Concentric Air System (CAS)
The proven Fendt CAS cooling concept is now also being introduced into the Fendt 800 Vario series. The concentric, forced-air fan has an independent, hydrostatic drive and is designed for outdoor temperatures up to 113°F. Thanks to its extremely narrow and compact design, it allows for a high turning angle, making it a decisive factor for the extraordinary manoeuvrability of the Fendt 800 Vario Gen5.
Each component of the cooling package can control the cooling system individually as required, thus gaining additional efficiency. Compared to other cooling systems, the CAS requires up to 40% less drive power – which makes it particularly efficient and noticeably reduces fuel consumption.
Intelligence combined with performance: The VarioDrive drivetrain
VarioDrive is already known from both the large-scale series and the medium performance segment of Fendt. The drive train stands for stepless, dynamic driving at any speed from 0.02 to 37 mph, an independent, variable four-wheel drive up to 15.5 mph and a smallest possible turning circle thanks to the pull-in turn effect. The result: maximum soil protection, higher efficiency and less wear on the machine.
The pull-in turn effect reduces the turning circle by up to 10%. This allows for easier and more precise maneuvering. In addition, with VarioDrive, power transmission remains tension-free even when cornering, which ensures maximum protection of the soil – in particular the topsoil and the grass sward in the grassland.
Fendt Torque Distribution provides permanent tractive power by intelligently distributing the torque to the axle with the best grip. This minimises the slippage, the tractor has maximum traction and optimum power transmission.
Added to this is the extended replacement interval of the transmission oil. Only after 4,000 operating hours or every 4 years must the transmission oil of the Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 be changed – this reduces maintenance costs.

Self-cleaning engine and cab air filters – a clean solution
The reversible fan ensures a constant supply of fresh air. By changing the direction of rotation, the current direction of the air can change and thus frees the bonnet of dirt and particles such as dust or straw – nothing stands in the way of intensive applications.

Reliable hydraulic performance
In order to relieve the hydraulics and further increase efficiency, the system can be extended with Power-Beyond, for a direct oil supply of the implements with the full volume flow of the hydraulic pump. With the easy-to-clean Power-Beyond variant with flat-face coupling (FFC), the hydraulic system is additionally protected against dirt ingress and you benefit from even lower power loss.

Flexibility on front and rear valves
The Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 can be equipped with the required number of valves in the front and rear. The maximum equipment includes up to eight double-acting valves – two in the front, six in the rear. This makes the Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 flexible for a wide variety of implements and applications in agriculture, grassland and on the road, which allows you to maximise the tractor’s utilisation. Valve variants:
- UDK couplings: can be coupled under pressure with 140 m/l flow rate
- DCUP couplings: double-sided, can be coupled under pressure, with 140 m/l or 170 l/min flow rate
- FFC couplings: flat-sealing couplings with 140 m/l or 170 l/min flow rate

UltraVision with 360° lighting
The absolute highlight of the Fendt 800 Vario Gen5: With a huge luminous flux of 114,700 lumens, the entire lighting concept including the new UltraVision LED spotlights ensures perfect illumination of the work environment – day and night. The LED spotlights thus create a 360 degree illumination of the entire team. This innovation not only increases visibility around the tractor, but also takes work safety and work quality to a new level.
The components at a glance:
- Work lights up in the bonnet with integrated daytime running light
- Up to six powerful work lights on the A-pillar and fenders, dimmable with UltraVision
- Maximum twelve work lights in the roof for optimum all-round vision, dimmable with UltraVision
- Tech Rail on the cab: two spotlights with adjustable beam angle, dimmable in five stages
- GroundVision: Targeted lighting in the rear implement area
By the way: Thanks to the new 3-pin socket in the rear, you can also easily operate the work lights and the cameras of the implements via the FendtONE terminal and switch them on and off as required.

Increased safety thanks to Fendt Stability Control & Trailer Brake Assist
Smart assistance systems such as Fendt Stability Control (FSC) and the trailer brake assistant (TBA) increase comfort and safety is guaranteed. FSC automatically reduces the lateral inclination at driving speeds above 12.4 mph and actively suppresses vacillation when cornering. The TBA stabilises the team with a pneumatically braked trailer in critical situations. The system continuously monitors the degree to which the trailer is pushed onto the tractor and automatically adjusts the brake pressure in critical situations without you having to press the brake pedal.

Optimum traction and maximum soil protection with VarioGrip
The fully integrated Fendt VarioGrip tire pressure control system is already in use in over 8,000 Fendt large tractors and increases the overall productivity of the machine. With VarioGrip you can adjust the air pressure of the tires for your application comfortably via the terminal. An optimally adjusted tire pressure reduces slippage and ground pressure, thus maintaining soil fertility and increasing the tractive power by up to 10%*. At the same time, fuel consumption is reduced by up to 8%*. VarioGrip is available for both flange and stub axes. In combination with dual tires, both the power transmission and the soil protection can be increased even further.

Dual tires with stub rear axis & dual wheel hub
The available 8.2‑foot or 9.8‑foot rear axle with single wheels—or optional duals—lets you dial in the exact tread width you need for your operation. This flexibility helps deliver strong traction while protecting your soil. With the dual‑wheel option, duals mount directly to the axle, providing a solid, efficient setup.
Direct power transfer to the dual wheels improves efficiency, cuts down on wheel slip, and lowers ground pressure. The result is better performance in the field and less compaction. With these axle and wheel options, you can set up the Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 to match a wide range of jobs and get the most out of every pass.

Flexible tire options
The Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 performs at its best when equipped with the proper tires for the task. This tractor can be equipped with rear tires up to about 7 feet tall (86 inches) and front tires up to about 5½ feet tall (66 inches), giving it a strong footprint in the field. The 800 Vario Gen5 is also available with hybrid tires, built for farmers who split their time between the field and the road. These tires combine traditional ag lugs with block-style tread, so they hold up well on pavement while still delivering solid traction in the dirt. With the right tire setup, you can match the tractor to your operation—whether that means reducing tire wear and fuel use during road travel or maximizing traction in the field while protecting your soil. The right tires help ensure the tractor performs efficiently wherever the work takes you.
