World premiere of the Fendt 1000 Vario in 2014

The world's largest standard tractor is crowned.

The Fendt 1000 Vario was launched in July 2014 at the International Fendt Press Conference, held at the home of Bavarian King Ludwig II from 130 years ago. The high-horsepower tractor was the first and so far only tractor to be allowed to drive into the courtyard of the world famous Neuschwanstein Castle.

About two working days to build a Fendt 1000 Vario

The production of a Fendt tractor begins with the construction of the stepless Vario transmission. Hundreds of parts and components, including the engine, fans and hydraulic lines, are put together to form the tractor. With 14 screw connections, the marriage takes place on the assembly line as the cab is connected to the tractor body.

The final step is a visual test carried out under 2,400 lux in the light tunnel. The checklist includes whether the 1000 series model is built to the correct customer configuration. Under special UV lamps, the quality team checks the technical condition of the machine, including seals and functionality. They also check the machine's visual state. Finally, the User Guide is enclosed and the machine goes to Dispatch.

No compromise on quality – no matter how far away the customer is!

The Fendt 1000 Vario was delivered to customers in 34 countries and 5 continents by the end of 2017, half of them ending up with customers in Europe, Africa, Australia/New Zealand and Asia. Especially when high-horsepower tractors have to make an epic trip across the Indian Ocean or the Atlantic, they are twice-prepared at the tractor plant at Marktoberdorf. A washable wax specially made to match the paintwork 'impregnates' the machines. No snow, road salt or sea water will stop the 1000-series in its tracks.
