Fendt revolutionises the assembly line through variable line speeds, and enables AGCO GmbH to scoop the award for “Best Production Idea 2017”

Thanks to an innovative and completely flexible assembly concept for tractors, the “Fendt VarioTakt”, AGCO GmbH was able to see of the competition at the 28th German Assemblers’ Convention on 21.06.2017, and finished in 1st place by some considerable distance.

Thanks to an innovative and completely flexible assembly concept for tractors, the “Fendt VarioTakt”, AGCO GmbH was able to see of the competition at the 28th German Assemblers’ Convention on 21.06.2017, and finished in 1st place by some considerable distance.

“VarioTakt” allows all Fendt tractor series to be built on one assembly line on one customer-specific assembly line thanks to variable line speeds. This enables Fendt to react quickly and flexibly to current market requirements, but the concept also ensures that the operators’ work load remains constant. Thanks to the launch of “VarioTakt”, efficiency can be increased appreciably.

It will be interesting to see what innovations AGCO/Fendt and other companies bring to the table next year in June at the 29th German Assemblers’ Convention.
