profi test report (6/2025)

Fendt 600 Vario
Naturally superior.
In the independent profi tractor test, the Fendt 620 Vario proved that high performance, efficiency and comfort can also be convincingly combined in its performance class. Both in the disciplines of the neutral DLG PowerMix test and in road transport during the profi tractor test, the four-cylinder achieves very low fuel consumption values, confirming the overall concept of the Fendt 600 Vario series, which is designed for economy.

What can a four-cylinder engine really do?
The Fendt 600 Vario series does away with the cliché.
The Fendt 620 Vario is powered by the AGCOPower CORE50 four-cylinder engine with 5.0 litre cubic capacity - designed for efficient power output at low engine speeds. In conjunction with the smart Fendt DynamicPerformance (DP) extra power concept, the tractor provides up to 15 hp more power when needed, exactly when auxiliary consumers or demanding operating conditions require it. The result is a powerful, yet quiet and controlled power delivery. In the profi tractor test, the tested Fendt 620 Vario achieves a rated power of 154 kW / 209 hp at 1,900 rpm and a maximum power of 165 kW / 224 hp. The maximum torque of 885 Nm at 1,200 rpm ensures superior pulling power even under load. Up to 149.9 kW / 205 hp are measured at the PTO - clear evidence of efficient power transmission.
"On the road, the 620 drives like a poem. Perfectly sprung and super quiet in the cab."

Efficient travelling - even on the road
The Fendt 620 Vario also skilfully demonstrates its strengths in transport. The Fendt iD low speed concept ensures that high driving speeds are achieved even at low engine speeds. At 40 km/h the specific consumption is 309 g/kWh, at 50 km/h 311 g/kWh. The 50 km/h mark is reached at just 1,350 rpm - a clear advantage in terms of fuel consumption, noise comfort and long-term use. The turning circle of 11.25 m measured in the Profi tractor test further emphasises the compactness and manoeuvrability of the Fendt 600 Vario series in applications on the farm, in the field and on the road.

"Unrivalled" ride comfort
The combination of front axle suspension, air-suspension cab and the intuitive FendtONE operating concept ensures relaxed working - even on lengthy working days. The trade magazine Profi expressly emphasises the driving comfort of the Fendt 620 Vario in the tractor test special edition 6/2025 and describes it as "unsurpassed". With a cab noise level of just 69.7 dB(A) measured in the tractor test, the Fendt 620 Vario is also one of the quietest tractors in its class. The very good all-round vision proves to be a particular advantage when working with the front loader. This is complemented by the individually assignable 3L-Joystick and the automatically controlled all-wheel drive, which provides the driver with targeted support in changing operating situations.

Versatile application options
The Fendt 620 Vario also demonstrates its versatility in hydraulics and linkage in the Profi tractor test. The hydraulic system delivers 152 l/min as standard, with up to 205 l/min possible as an option. Up to ten double-acting control units allow flexible adaptation to individual requirements. There was nothing wrong with that. With a continuous measured lifting capacity of 8,325 daN and a front linkage with up to 4,122 daN, there is sufficient power reserve for a wide range of implements - "lifting capacity galore".

Conclusion of the Profi tugboat test
The values determined in the test are also confirmed in practical use. Users particularly appreciate the low fuel consumption, high manoeuvrability and excellent driving comfort - factors that contribute directly to cost-effectiveness in day-to-day operation. Overall, the Fendt 620 Vario positions itself as an efficient all-rounder that has fully convinced the neutral trade press with measurable fuel savings, superior performance and a high level of comfort.
"The 600 Vario will be a crowd favourite"

DLG PowerMix

Efficiency in the DLG PowerMix
A central point of the Profi tractor test is the high efficiency of the Fendt 620 Vario in the neutral DLG PowerMix. Across all areas of use, the tractor impresses with very low specific consumption values, confirming Fendt's claim to save fuel where it is actually needed in daily use. According to the DLG, consumption in the field is 245 g/kWh. The Fendt 620 Vario performs as follows on average in the following disciplines: Tractive work 252 g/kWh; PTO work 240 g/kWh; Mixed work 249 g/kWh. According to the DLG PowerMix measurements, the AdBlue content is around 9 %. These values show that the efficiency of the Fendt 620 Vario is not a theoretical promise, but a measurable reality.
