World premiere of the Fendt Rogator 900

AGCO's Rogator has been developed, produced and used in the USA for over 20 years. Now the machine has been completely redesigned and is available as the Fendt Rogator 900 in selected markets. The self-propelled machine for application and fertilization has been designed for use on large areas worldwide. For the first time, the self-propelled machine's chassis can be raised up to 1.93 meters. The body of the machine allows a quick change between different bodies for application and fertilization.

The Fendt Rogator 900 series, a self-propelled machine for application and fertilization, consists of five models, the Fendt Rogator 932, 934, 934H (High Clearance), 937 and Fendt Rogator 937H, with a power range from 290 to 369 hp (216-272 kW). The Fendt Rogator 900 has a machine width of 3.91 to 4.49 meters (12.8 – 14.7 feet) and is therefore particularly suitable for use in North and South America, Australia, as well as in Eastern Europe. The machine complements the product range for farmers with large-scale agricultural operations consisting of the Fendt MOMENTUM precision planter and the Fendt IDEAL combine harvester.

The Fendt Rogator 900 is available with working widths from 27 to 40 meters (90-132 feet).

Rogator now in Fendt design

The Fendt Rogator 900 is now available in Fendt Nature Green. Thus, the 6-cylinder 8.4 liter AGCO Power engine is covered by the same hood as on the Fendt 900 Vario. This offers enough power for reliable operation. The North American variant meets the Tier 4 final emissions standard with a diesel oxidation filter (DOC), diesel particulate filter (DFP) and the well-known SCR technology (Selective Catalytic Reduction for nitrogen reduction). In South America, Australia and Eastern Europe, the Fendt Rogator 900 meets the Tier 3 emissions standard.

Efficient cooling due to the reversible fan

When used in crop protection, a high load of pollen can occur, which can affect the functioning of the cooler. For this reason, the engine of the Fendt Rogator 900 series is equipped with a variable fan with reversing function. The air flow is controlled by adjusting the angle of the individual fan blades. With the help of the fan's reversing function, the cooling package is cleaned of deposits, pollen and fine dust, and the automatic control significantly reduces the driver's workload.

Spacious and comfortable - the Fendt cab

The time windows for crop protection operations are becoming shorter and shorter due to climate change, and drivers spend many hours on the machine. A spacious cab with the familiar Fendt operating concept ensures a high level of working comfort even during long working days. The VisioPlus cab of the Fendt Rogator 900, familiar from the Fendt 700 Vario tractor, provides an unobstructed view of the crop. Fendt customers are also familiar with the multifunction joystick and the Fendt armrest including Varioterminal 10.4 from the Fendt Rogator 600 sprayer and the Fendt IDEAL combine.

Weather and climate conditions are decisive influencing factors when carrying out crop protection and fertilization measures. For this reason, the Fendt Rogator 900 can be optionally equipped with a weather station on the roof. The data is automatically transmitted to the cab and the driver always has an eye on changing conditions.

Especially for use with crop protection agents, the cab has been equipped with a dual filter system with activated carbon filter to protect the driver from dust, aerosols and vapors.

Numerous additional options are available for a high level of working comfort:

  • Comfort seats with dynamic cushioning
  • genuine leather upholstery for driver and passenger seats as well as the steering wheel
  • seat heating
  • seat ventilation
  • a sound system with four high-end speakers and subwoofer
  • numerous storage options
  • a temperature-controlled storage compartment for drinks
  • a cup holder

The cabin is manufactured at the competence center for cabins in Asbach-Bäumenheim, Germany.

Extended application window thanks to high ground clearance

The application of crop protection agents late in the growth phase poses major challenges for crop protection technology in order to avoid yield losses. The chassis of the Fendt Rogator 900 can be raised at the touch of a button. As standard, the Fendt Rogator 900 models have a ground clearance of at least 142 cm (56 inches) or more depending on the selected tire. A special High Clearance variant is available on both the Fendt Rogator 934 and 937 models. This allows the chassis to be raised up to 193 cm (76 inches) depending on the tire selected. With the High Clearance variant, the machines can be used in corn or sunflower crops even late in the growth phase, when the plants have already reached a growth height of up to two meters, without any loss of yield.

Stability in all applications

The Fendt Rogator 900 has pneumatic independent wheel suspension. Four air bellows cushion the vehicle, increasing stability and ride comfort. The proven flex frame of the Fendt Rogator 900 ensures continuous contact between tires and ground and optimum traction at all times.

Crop protection or mineral fertilization - all on one chassis

To increase machine utilization of the Fendt Rogator 900, the chassis can be converted from a sprayer to a mineral fertilizer system with ease. The variance in equipment:

  • crop protection system
  • fertilizer spinner spreaders
  • pneumatic spreader

With more than 20 years of experience with this technology, the tank change options have now been extensively revised. Whereas the changeover used to take four hours with two people, today only two hours are required. Changing between the bodies is done with a crane or with the help of a jacking system.

The tank for liquid fertilizer has a maximum capacity of 3,400-4,900 liters (900-1,300 gallons) the tank for mineral fertilizer has a maximum capacity of 7,000 liters (254 cubic feet). The different tank sizes can be combined with the different models. Thus, the machine can be individually adapted to the customer's needs.

Precision by day and night

Various nozzle systems are available for the Fendt Rogator 900 with sprayer system. In addition to the standard electric nozzle bodies, Fendt OptiPulse, a nozzle system with pulse width modulation (PWM), is optionally available for particularly precise application of crop protection agents. With Fendt OptiPulse, the application rate per nozzle body can be individually adjusted. When cornering, the application rate can thus be increased on the outside of the boom and reduced on the inside. Over- or underdosing is thus prevented and also reduces the risk of resistance. In addition, the technology offers many other interesting possibilities for future-oriented crop protection.

Technologies such as VarioGuide track guidance, Section Control or VariableRateControl for site-specific tillage enable precise and needs-based application of products.

Protecting the soil with a larger footprint

A larger contact area of the tires reduces soil compaction. Therefore, tires in 480, 680 and 710 mm width are available for the Fendt Rogator 900. Thanks to the optionally available hydraulic track width adjustment, the Fendt Rogator 900 can be adapted to the needs of the respective farm as well as the crop. Thanks to the track width of 3 to 3.80 meters (120-152 inches) that this allows, the Fendt Rogator 900 is also suitable for controlled traffic farming, among other things.

To further protect the soil and work efficiently, Fendt TI Headland and 4 wheel steer controlled via the Varioterminal are optionally available. As a result, the Fendt Rogator 900 with 4 wheel steer achieves a turning radius of just over 4.50 meters (1.77 inches) for optimum maneuverability in the field. The tires of the front and rear axles thus run perfectly in one track. This reduces soil compaction and protects the crop.

Fendt TI Headland is also available for the Fendt Rogator 900. Fendt TI Headland is a function package for professional headland management and consists of the functions Fendt TI Auto and Fendt TI Turn Assistant. With Fendt TI Auto, the sequence of work steps is triggered directly when the headland is crossed, eliminating the need for joystick activation. With the Fendt TI Turn Assistant, the self-propelled sprayer turns independently within the calculated turning sequences. With the combination of Fendt TI Headland and 4 wheel steer, areas are worked efficiently and precisely and unnecessary passes are avoided. This reduces the consumption of fuel and resources such as crop protection agents or fertilizers, protects the soil and saves time.

The Fendt Rogator 900 is available in selected markets such as the USA, Canada, Australia, Russia and Ukraine. The self-propelled sprayer can be ordered in North America from October 2021 and will be delivered in May 2022. Subsequently, the Fendt Rogator 900 will also be available in other markets.
