Fendt e100 Vario wins AgrarTec Award in Austria

On Wednesday, 20 November, the Fendt e100 Vario received the AgrarTec Award 2024 in the newly created category "Climate Fit for the Future". The award was presented at the Austro Agrar Tulln agricultural machinery exhibition.

The jury's statement said: "With this solution, Fendt shows how tractors in the lower horsepower range can be powered by battery-electric drives and "green electricity". This is good for the environment and also brings several other advantages."

"Here at Austro Agrar, the Fendt e100 V Vario is on display for the first time in Austria at the joint stand of our sales partners under the leadership of ACA. Customers from Austria can now order both battery-electric tractor series: Not only the Fendt e100 V Vario, but also the recently launched Fendt e100 Vario. The Fendt team and I are particularly pleased that we have been honoured with this award for our electric tractors," reports Edward Snieder, Business Manager Fendt Central Europe. "We see great potential for the e-tractor, especially on farms with self-generated energy and in municipalities."

"Fendt tractors are the perfect partner for professional farmers in Austria and are now also indispensable in municipal applications," says Kurt Wipfler, Commercial Manager Fendt Austria. "With the Fendt e100 Vario, we can serve both professional farmers in Austria and the increasing demand for emission-free work in the non-agricultural sector."

The Fendt e100 Vario with 50 kW power according to ECE R85 and up to 66 kW peak driving power was developed for use in the municipal sector, in special cultures such as vegetable growing, on livestock farms, for example for dairy cattle or horses, and as a farm tractor on farms with self-generated energy production. With an external width of 2.16 metres and a height from 2.64 metres with standard tyres, the compact Fendt e107 Vario model has comparable dimensions to the Fendt 200 Vario. With a battery capacity of 100 kWh, the tractor achieves an operating time of around 4 - 7 hours when used in the partial load range, such as for mechanical weed control or planting work.

About the AgrarTec Award
