IFAT 2018: Efficient solutions for towns and districts

With Industry, Roads & Environment, Fendt also offers solutions to the non-agricultural sector, so that towns, districts and companies in the environmental sector can carry out their work efficiently with the help of tractors. At its outdoor stand FGL. 810/5 at the Munich Trade Fair Centre, AGCO/Fendt demonstrates 5 tractor/attachment combinations

At IFAT 2018, the Fendt 210 P Vario is showcased with the DBM 400 front boom mower and USM 13 flail mower from Dücker.

Fendt 210 P Vario

Equipped with a 3-cylinder AGCO Power Motor (AP 33 AWI) and 3.3-litre engine capacity, the Fendt 200 Vario meets the emissions standard at emission level 3b (Tier 4 Interim), featuring AGRex (external exhaust gas recirculation) and DOC (diesel oxidation catalyst).

The model Fendt 210 P Vario is a slimline design, with a minimum outer width of 1.60 m and a maximum power of 104 hp (meeting ECE R 120). This makes the tractor ideal for maintaining pedestrian and cycling paths as well as winter clearing services.

The optional floor heater is ideal for winter work. Fendt has integrated the electrical heater elements directly into the cab floor design, cleanly and without creating a trip hazard. Controlled by temperature sensors, the footwell is heated quickly and efficiently. The driver's feet are always kept warm. A safety switch prevents overheating.

Fendt 312 Vario

The Fendt 312 Vario offers a rated output of 122 hp at a maximum speed of 40 km/h. The 4.4-litre AGCO Power Motor gives this 300-series class a boost in terms of power and torque. This all-round tractor is also extremely economical: a low rated speed of 2,100 rpm, a new cooling package and a high-performance air filter ensure excellent efficiency at low fuel consumption rates. A diesel oxidation catalyst (DOC) and exhaust gas recirculation system (AGRex) effectively keep exhaust emissions low and ensure the latest standards of the current level 4/Tier 4 emissions standard are met.

The compact Fendt 312 Vario with both a front and rear mower attachment is on view at the Fendt stand. The GHA 600 P extension mower from Gödde is a light rear attachment with a parallelogram boom for close-range mowing in between the axles. This gives the driver an optimal view of the working tool.

At the front, the tractor is equipped with the MRK 300 G strimmer from Mulag. The statutory front-end width of 3.50 m is complied with. Its low overall height makes the unit especially suitable for use under crash barriers. The swerving speed automatically adjusts to the mowing speed.

Fendt 514 Vario

The Fendt 514 Vario has a 4-cylinder engine with a high maximum torque of 687 Nm and a rated power of 150 hp (ECE R 120) at a speed of approx. 1,850 rpm. It reaches its maximum torque even at an economical 1,450 rpm. With both an SCR exhaust after-treatment system and the CSF passive diesel particulate filter, the Fendt 500 Vario meets the current emissions standard of level 4/Tier 4 Final and is noted for its particularly economical diesel and AdBlue consumption.

At IFAT 2018, the Fendt 514 Vario is showcased with both a front and rear mower. The GHA 700 rear-mounted boom mower from Gödde reaches a range of 7.80 m and is mounted on the pivot points of the rear three-point.

You can work with the boom on the right or left. You proportionally control the boom functions electrically, using the joystick. Multiple functions are possible at the same time. The unit is stowed above the cab for transport, keeping your view of the road clear.

The MRK 300 G with a range of up to 3 m is attached at the front. With its extremely compact frame design and foldable sensor arm, the front-end width is under 3.5 m.

Fendt 720 Vario

The proven 6-cylinder Deutz engine of the Fendt 720 Vario delivers 201 hp rated power at a top speed of 50 km/h. With a capacity of 6.1 litres, 4-valve technology and common-rail injection, the engine delivers a high-torque driving experience. Equipped with SCR exhaust technology, the Fendt 700 Vario is particularly economical in its fuel consumption and meets emissions standard level 4/Tier 4 Final.

The Fendt 700 Vario has a supporting frame made by Kreuter Stahl. The frame absorbs torsional force and ensures precision and stability at large boom widths. The axle can be blocked with the double-sided hydraulic axle support, to ensure the tractor's stability. You can also store winter service equipment, such as snow ploughs and milling cutters, in the DIN mounting plate.

The Fendt 720 Vario is demonstrated at IFAT 2018 with the MK 25-800 mower combination from Dücker. The combination set consists of a boom with a working width of up to 7.80 m and a strimmer. This works with a computer-aided control system that gives outstanding support when mowing around reflector posts, traffic signs and trees. The maximum reach from the centre of the vehicle is 3.60 m and 3.20 m to the front.

It also features a camera system from Satconsystem, which is currently the only one to comply with the legal requirements on attachments.
