Fendt wins the 'Great Start! Award for Germany's Best Company for Trainees'

After the introduction of 'Great Start! Germany's Best Company for Apprentices' in Autumn 2017, the Fendt Training Workshop was the first to be certified as the best company for apprentices. The

trainees were first off the mark, winning the Great Start seal and the Bronze

award in the certification process.

Dr. Karsten Schulte-Deußen, Project Management Leader at Great Place to Work®, presented the Great Start award to the Chairman of the AGCO/Fendt Management Board, Peter-Josef Paffen.

"I congratulate our instructors and apprentices on this excellent result," said CEO, Peter-Josef Paffen, delighted with the outstanding achievement. "Our company has been training apprentices for over 65 years. Specially equipped training workshops with specialist personnel ensure the quality of Fendt training at every one of our production sites. The number of apprentices depends on our needs, and we usually take on young people who have just graduated. That's why we are passionate about recruiting the best trainees for Fendt, providing them with extensive and enjoyable on-the-job training".

The award for 'Germany's Best Company for Apprentices' is given according to the official Great Place to Work® certification procedure. It also takes into account feedback from the apprentices themselves (Trainee Survey) and a survey on the company’s training strategy (Culture Review).

More than 50% AGCO/Fendt trainees took part in the external certification process, answering extensive questions about their professional career path and sense of personal appreciation, how respectfully and fairly they have been treated, and the sense of team spirit at the company. The questionnaire also gave them the chance to comment on the strengths of the training and give suggestions for improvement.
