The move is part of AGCO’s commercial and market strategy in the Europe and Middle East (EME) region. Currently, AGCO operates its own sales teams in Poland for the Challenger and Valtra brands who work with local dealer outlets. This approach will now be extended to include the Fendt and Massey Ferguson brands for the whole of Poland. In line with this commercial strategy, AGCO’s existing national franchise agreement with Polish distributor Korbanek Sp. z.o.o, which handles AGCO’s Fendt, Massey Ferguson, Challenger and Fella brands, will cease at the end of 2017. “We would like to give our sincere thanks to the Korbanek company for the excellent teamwork, commitment and co-operation with AGCO over many years,” says Rob Smith, AGCO Senior Vice President and General Manager EME. “Mr and Mrs Korbanek and their team are highly-professional business partners who have contributed significantly to AGCO’s business in Poland.” AGCO and Korbanek will continue to work together until the end of the contract term. During the transition period, Korbanek and its dealer network will provide sales, parts, service and warranty to support Fendt and Massey Ferguson customers. AGCO EME’s commercial and market strategy aims to create closer links with customers and boost their experience with the company’s leading agricultural equipment brands through the provision of full-line product portfolios and exclusive dealer networks. Going forward, AGCO plans to implement two distribution channels and expand its own dealer networks in Poland. One distribution channel will see Fendt and Valtra bundled together while the other channel will focus on Massey Ferguson. Current and future local dealer partners will have the opportunity to apply for the brand franchises and further develop the business with AGCO.
