The new Fendt CornFlowTM is available as a 6- and 8-row maize header with a row spacing of 70 or 75 cm, and is perfectly aligned with all the Fendt combine series. Developed and tailored to the Fendt harvesting machinery means quicker and easier hitching is guaranteed. The harvesting header is available as a rigid variant, but also as a folding variant for road driving with the maize header attached. In this variant, the sides of the Fendt CornFlow™ fold in such a compact way that even the 8-row header stays below the 3.5 m transport width. The special folding mechanism of the maize header also allows for a low header height when folded, so that the driver still has optimal visibility even during road transport. The folding function and the adjustment of the picker head is controlled easily with the multifunctional lever in the cabin. In general, all functions of the Fendt CornFlowTM are fully integrated into the Fendt Variotronic, so that further operating monitors are not necessary.
“Through Capello’s many years of experience in the development and production of maize headers, the new Fendt CornFlowTM headers are characterised by their lifespan, reliability, easy maintenance and their exceptional performance”, says Gert Albert, Fendt Product Engineer for the Golden Harvesting division. “With the new Fendt CornFlowTM, we can now offer both the dealers and our customers a real Fendt header, which is perfectly tailored to our Fendt combines in terms of handling and operation. Furthermore, they also receive - as with every Fendt product - the usual Fendt guarantee and service features.
The Fendt CornFlowTM is equipped with sturdy picking units, which can also be individually secured. The mutually rotating picking rollers each with four knife bars are robust and durable. The picker heads can be adjusted on both sides so that the plants are always in the centre of the picking unit, and this guarantees direct intake through the picking rollers. Because the ears can only be cleanly separated from the plants and there is no kernel loss if the plants are pulled vertically under the roller.
The hoods and tips are made of elastic and robust plastic to further protect the maize ears, and therefore ensure perfect condition of the kernels. Furthermore, they are easy to fold to allow quick and easy access to the picking rollers. The hoods are additionally equipped as standard with replaceable wear plates in the area exposed to the ears. The side rollers are also standard in the CornFlowTM and their speed can be easily regulated using the Fendt multifunctional lever. The stalk chopper with two knives is optional. This is particularly interesting for contractors because it can be switched on and off as required.
