When manoeuvring becomes your new hobby.
The new Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 has outstanding manoeuvrability with a turning circle of only 10.1 metres.
When things get tight, the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 shows how pioneering technology and well thought-out design work together perfectly. With a turning circle of only 10.1 m, it masters all cramped conditions, such as loader work, narrow courtyard entrances and tight headlands with impressive ease. This is made possible by the ingenious VarioDrive drivetrain, which actively pulls the separately driven front axle into the turn thanks to the so-called pull-in-turn effect. This ensures an up to 10% smaller turning circle with simultaneously full tractive force without tension in the drivetrain. The compact design of the tractor additionally supports this agile handling and ensures that precise and safe manoeuvring can also be done with front and rear implements. Thanks to the parking position, the 500 Vario Gen4 remains extremely mobile in the team, as collisions of drawbars with the lower link are prevented. Whether stacking bales in the yard, manoeuvring, for example, with the baler in the field or during transport through narrow locations – the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 takes manoeuvrability to a new level.

The new Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 with intelligent 10 hp added power thanks to Fendt DynamicPerformance.
The increase in performance that remains – With the Fendt DynamicPerformance (DP) added performance concept, the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 has up more power to 10 hp for increased productivity and efficiency while reducing fuel consumption.
In contrast to classic boost concepts, Fendt DynamicPerformance automatically recognises when auxiliary consumers such as the fan, compressed air supply, air-conditioning system or hydraulic pump require additional power. Fendt DP compensates in a targeted manner, thus ensuring higher productivity through consistent work performance.

Even in soil cultivation, PTO work in transport or during stationary PTO work, as if with a feed mixer. This allows you to efficiently use more performance – permanently and reliably.

When it takes care of what is valuable to you.
The new Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 combines tractive force and soil protection thanks to the revolutionary VarioDrive drive.
Working efficiently and with strong tractive power while protecting the soil – the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 combines both into a well thought-out overall concept. With this generation, the revolutionary single-stage VarioDrive drivetrain is being used for the first time in this series and ensures maximum traction without damaging the soil thanks to the continuous and automatic power distribution between the front and rear axles. Fendt Torque Distribution specifically distributes the torque to the drive axle, that has the best grip. The advantage is particularly evident on sensitive areas such as in grassland or in moist soil conditions: the sward remains intact, the soil structure is protected. At the same time, the optimum power transmission ensures a uniform building of tractive power, which not only increases efficiency, but also significantly reduces tyre wear and fuel consumption. In addition, the pull-in turn effect reduces the turning circle by up to 10%, which enables the tightest and torsion-free turning manoeuvres at the headland – and thus saves valuable time.

The Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 can do even more. With the fully integrated VarioGrip tyre pressure regulation system, the tyre pressure can be adjusted while driving – easily at the touch of a button from the terminal. For example, the pressure can be lowered when working in the field in order to increase the contact area of the tyres and to minimise soil compaction. On the road, on the other hand, higher tyre pressure ensures greater driving stability, lower rolling resistance and thus lower fuel consumption and less wear. The result: up to 8% more towing performance in the field* with up to 8% less fuel consumption*. Because the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 cares for what is valuable to you.

The coverage guidance wayline type is part of the extension of the Fendt Contour Assistant and enables avoiding obstacles – without any reference to field boundaries. The guidance system adapts automatically and in real time to the working method by orienting itself to the already-processed area. This means that no prior definition of field boundaries is required.

This feature is not only suitable for experienced drivers, but also makes it easy to get started. The coverage guidance shows its strengths, especially in less complex applications with three-point implements. It is the ideal solution for spontaneous use or situations with tight time windows.

AGCO Power CORE50

The AGCO Power CORE50 sets new standards in engine technology with its Fendt iD low-speed concept. With a cubic capacity of 5.0 litres for four cylinders, it offers impressive power reserves with maximum fuel efficiency, as neutral measurements by DLG on behalf of profi Landtechnikmagazin (06/25) show in the Fendt 600 Vario, which has installed the same engine generation.

The engines of the CORE family are approved for the use of alternative fuels such as HVO in accordance with DIN EN 15940 – an important contribution to reducing the CO2 footprint. Thanks to the Fendt iD low speed concept, the engine is particularly efficient: The speed range is from 800/950 rpm in idle mode to a low 1,900 rpm at rated speed. This ensures a quiet, fuel-efficient operation. Maintenance-free hydraulic tappets enable automatic valve clearance adjustment and contribute to low-vibration operation. The engine of the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 is impressive with its quiet running, low consumption and particularly low-maintenance operation – ideal for daily use under demanding conditions.

Efficient radiator cleaning for maximum performance

During dust-intensive work and working with front implements, such as mowing, mulching or soil cultivation, there may be deposits in the area of the radiator, which requires additional cleaning and work interruption. The optional reversible fan ensures reliable cleaning of the air intake in such situations. The control is done hydraulically, whereby the fan blades are specifically adjusted and the air flow is briefly reversed.

The reverse function enables effective self-cleaning of the radiator grille – can be activated manually or automatically in the terminal. Particularly under demanding operating conditions, it contributes to a permanently free air flow, constant radiator performance and significantly lower fuel consumption. In combination with the Fendt iD low-speed concept, this not only increases efficiency, but also reduces maintenance costs.

Automatically optimal – with automatic maximum load 2.0 and TMS

With the advanced automatic maximum load 2.0 in combination with the Tractor Management System (TMS), work is always done in the optimum performance range. The TMS automatically adjusts the engine speed and the gear ratio optimally, while the maximum load control determines how far the speed may drop at maximum under load before the transmission adjusts. All you have to do is set the desired speed – the system takes care of the rest automatically. The result: noticeable fuel savings, higher efficiency and convincing work results

Intelligence combined with performance: The VarioDrive drivetrain

The single-stage Fendt VarioDrive drive concept with independent, torsion-free four-wheel drive is already familiar from the Fendt 600 Vario, Fendt 700 Vario, Fendt 900 Vario and Fendt 1000 Vario series. The drivetrain stands for stepless, dynamic driving at any speed from 0.02 to 50 km/h, an independent, variable four-wheel drive up to 25 km/h and a smallest possible turning circle thanks to the pull-in turn effect. The result: maximum soil protection, higher efficiency and less wear on the machine.

The pull-in turn effect reduces the turning circle by up to 10%. This allows for easier and more precise manoeuvring. In addition, with VarioDrive, power transmission remains tension-free even when cornering, which ensures maximum protection of the soil – in particular the topsoil and the grass sward in the grassland.

Fendt Torque Distribution provides permanent tractive power by intelligently distributing the torque to the axle with the best grip. This minimises the slippage, the tractor has maximum traction and optimum power transmission.

In addition, there is the extended replacement interval of the transmission oil, from 2,000 operating hours or 2 years to 4,000 operating hours or 4 years – this significantly reduces maintenance costs.

A tractor.
Countless possibilities.
Maximum hydraulic power.

With a volume flow rate of up to 109 or 152 l/min, the Fendt 500 Vario provides the necessary hydraulic power for demanding applications – efficiently, precisely and reliably. The load sensing pump ensures fast, demand-oriented oil supply and maximum control precision. In the rear, up to five control units are available, at the maximum of two and an additional two or three via the multi-coupler – ideal for the use of front and rear mowers, tedders, rakes, sowing combinations and many more.

In addition, the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 can be equipped with Power Beyond connections, which enables particularly precise and low-loss control of the hydraulic functions. The implement is only supplied with oil when it actually requires hydraulic power. Flat-sealing FFC couplings can be optionally fitted. Whether in grassland, agriculture or special crops – the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 adapts flexibly to a wide range of applications.

Always in the correct speed range

The standard four-speed PTO (540/540E/1000/rpm) enables particularly efficient work. Thanks to the four selectable speeds, the PTO can always be operated in the optimum performance range. This not only increases productivity, but also significantly reduces fuel consumption. The electrohydraulic preset and the ECO modes enable particularly efficient work – combined with the high operating comfort of the FendtONE operating concept. Additional operating elements on both fenders in the rear make it easier to operate outside the tractor cab, save distances and increase efficiency in daily use.

Automatic function and stationary mode

The automatic function of the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 enables simplified operation and efficiency. Switching the rear PTO on and off can be assigned to a button on the control lever and occurs automatically at predefined positions of the power lift. In stationary mode, a saved PTO speed can be called up when the PTO is externally activated. For example, when filling the slurry tank, entering the cab becomes superfluous.

Assistance systems that make a difference

Fendt stands for intelligent technologies that combine safety and comfort. These include important assistance systems such as the hydraulic auxiliary brake, the trailer brake assistant (TBA), the automatic parking brake or the automatic steering axle lock. They work hand in hand and ensure the best possible driving safety in the team under demanding conditions.

Automatic steering axle lock

The automatic steering axle lock ensures precise and safe handling – without any manual intervention. In a defined speed range up to max. 25 km/h, the steering axle is active so that the team is more manoeuvrable and tyre wear is minimised. If the stored maximum speed is exceeded, the steering axle is automatically locked to ensure stable handling of the team when driving faster. Even when reversing, the axle locks itself completely automatically to enable shunting. The driver is significantly relieved and at the same time safety is increased.

Trailer brake assist:
Full support for downhill driving

The trailer brake assist (TBA) stabilises the trailer with a pneumatically braked trailer in critical situations. The TBA continuously monitors the trailer's thrust behaviour onto the tractor and automatically controls the brake pressure, even without the brake pedal being pressed. If required, the TBA becomes active up to a speed of 25 km/h and provides additional safety while protecting the field or the sward. It is not an anti-roll away system like the sustained-action brake on lorries, and is no substitute for a wear-free sustained-action brake. Overall, the TBA ensures safe and relaxed driving behaviour with a trailer.

Additional braking force without wear

The hydraulic auxiliary brake of the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4 uses the existing hydraulic circuit to create an additional braking effect when decelerating or driving downhill – without any mechanical wear. It is activated conveniently via a foot switch or a button on the armrest. Especially with heavy trailer loads, it provides a significant increase in safety. At the same time, the operating brake is protected, which leads to lower maintenance costs in the long term. This means that the tractor remains safe and controlled at all times, even for demanding transport tasks.

VarioGrip tyre pressure regulation system

The fully integrated Fendt VarioGrip tyre pressure regulation system is already in use in over 8,000 Fendt tractors and increases the overall productivity of the machine. This proven technology is now also being used in the Fendt 500 Vario Gen4. An optimally adjusted tyre pressure in the field reduces slippage and soil pressure, increases soil fertility and tractive performance by up to 8%*. In addition, up to 8% fuel* savings. When driving on the road, the rolling resistance and also the tyre wear is significantly reduced. Fendt VarioGrip is available for both flanged and stub axles.

Tractor and implement generate data. Data that is important for documentation. This also requires field boundaries and way lines to be standardised across the entire fleet. Creating tasks and receiving work reports will become essential as processes become increasingly automated. Seamless documentation means future-proofing. This is agronomy with Fendt.

Telemetry with FendtONE

Real-time machine data is required to maintain an overview of the fleet at all times, optimise machine deployment and prevent hold-ups. You can obtain this with the help of Fendt telemetry solutions. This gives you an overview of your fleet at all times and from any location, allowing you to analyse and manage it optimally.

Machine control with FendtONE.

Tractor and implement - an inseparable unit that is optimally and intuitively integrated into the FendtONE operating concept. The full potential of the combination can only be utilised when the tractor and attachment can communicate with each other. The Fendt machine control system makes it child's play to control partial width sections and work the sections with pinpoint accuracy.
