With 120,500 lumens, the new Fendt 1000 Vario has the right light in every situation.
The new lighting concept with the UltraVision LED spotlights provides a remarkable 120,500 lumens and ensures bright daylighting – even on the darkest nights. This pioneering concept of 360 degree illumination, you can always keep a complete overview of all work areas around the tractor. The powerful spotlights are installed in the cab roof of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4. Additional headlights can be attached to the integrated mounting rails, the so-called Tech Rails, on the cab. A special highlight: the optional GroundVision drawbar lighting in the fenders. This means that the rear implement is perfectly illuminated, so that you have the best view of the implement for mounting and dismounting as well as while working in the field. With this entire concept, the new cab shines with a 76% improved light output compared to its predecessor.

The MAN engine in the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 with 6 cylinders and 12.4 litres cubic capacity in combination with the intelligent Fendt DynamicPerformance extra power concept delivers an impressive 550 hp. This power must be delivered to the ground with flexible ballast and suitable tyres. With the 480 Row Crop dual tyres in conjunction with the 1,300 kg wheel weight, the maximum power of the tractor can be converted into pure tractive power. The best thing about it: with the new concept of the Row Crop dual tyres, the outer width of the vehicle stays below 3.5 metres.

An increase in performance results in higher consumption? The new Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 proves the opposite. Compared to the previous generation, the new Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 has lower fuel consumption despite an average increase in torque of 7.5% and an average performance increase of 6.8%. Thanks to the Fendt iD low-speed concept, the MAN engine operates in the fuel-saving speed range from 650 to 1,700 rpm. Overall, the engine has been optimised, allowing you to benefit from even more fuel efficiency. In combination with the generous diesel tank of 740 l (79 l AdBlue tank) with optional heated fuel pre-filter, the performance of the Fendt 1000 Varios remains powerful, persistent and reliably strong. In addition, with Adaptive Power, you can reduce the power level of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 if you work with implements that require less power – this protects your tools and saves fuel.

With a cubic capacity of 12.4 litres, the MAN engine offers considerable performance and low fuel consumption at the same time. Superior performance with the MAN D26 engine

The optimised MAN D26 engine can be found under the bonnet of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4, which shines with uncompromising performance, increased efficiency and is future oriented. Developed for the hardest work, it is the spirit of the largest standard tractor on the market. The 6-cylinder engine has 12.4 litres cubic capacity and 1,800 bar injection pressure. This allows it to deliver up to 550 hp in the most powerful configuration and is perfect for the toughest applications. This included, for example, heavy soil cultivation with the rotary plough, wide cultivators or the use in front of large chaser bins.

Unlike classic boost concepts, Fendt DynamicPerformance provides power automatically and without limitation when secondary consumers such as fans, compressed air supply, air conditioning or the hydraulic pump need additional power. Fendt DP delivers these in a targeted and situational manner, thus ensuring consistent work performance and productivity – regardless of the application: at low speeds in soil cultivation, in transport or for PTO work when standing with a wood chipper. This allows you to efficiently use more performance – in a targeted and reliable manner.

Cooling concept: Concentric Air System (CAS) with pressurised fan

As with its predecessor, the fourth generation of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 also has the proven Concentric Air System (CAS) cooling concept installed. The concentric, forced-air fan has an independent hydrostatic drive and is designed for outdoor temperatures of up to 45°C. Thanks to its extremely narrow and compact design, it enables a high steering angle and is therefore a decisive factor for the extraordinary manoeuvrability of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4.

Each component of the cooler package can control the cooling system individually as required, thus gaining additional efficiency. Compared to other cooling systems, the CAS requires up to 40% less drive power – which makes it particularly efficient and noticeably reduces fuel consumption.

Already tried and tested: the intelligent VarioDrive drivetrain

The VarioDrive drivetrain has been impressive since the first generation of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4. It stands for continuous, dynamic driving at any speed from 0.02 to 60 km/h, an independent, variable all-wheel drive up to 25 km/h and a smallest possible turning circle thanks to the pull-in turn effect. The result: maximum soil protection, higher efficiency and less wear on the machine.

The pull-in turn effect reduces the turning circle by up to 10% compared to the conventional four-wheel drive without a pull-in turn effect. The Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 achieves a track circle of 14.4 m with VF710/60R38 with 2,250 mm track. This allows for easier and more precise manoeuvring. In addition, with VarioDrive, power transmission remains tension-free even when cornering, which ensures maximum protection of the soil and best traction.

Fendt Torque Distribution provides permanent tractive power by intelligently distributing the torque to the axle with the best grip. This minimises the slippage, the tractor has maximum traction and optimum power transmission.

Added to this is the extended replacement interval of the transmission oil. The transmission oil of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 only needs to be changed after 4,000 operating hours or every 4 years – this significantly reduces maintenance costs.

Less maintenance and clean air thanks to self-cleaning air filter for the engine and cab

Clean air for full performance – even under extremely dusty conditions such as soil cultivation, sowing or when using on construction sites. The automatic self-cleaning of the engine and cab air filter is done permanently, passively by the negative pressure of the engine fan. In addition, there are short, situational air bursts that actively blow out the engine air filter. This prolongs the service life of the air filter many times over, the maintenance effort is reduced and you benefit from maximum efficiency, less downtime and permanently high performance.

The reversible fan ensures a constant supply of fresh air. By changing the direction of rotation, the current direction of the air can change and thus frees the bonnet of dirt and particles such as dust or straw – nothing stands in the way of intensive applications.

Thanks to the 550 hp and the powerful VarioDrive drivetrain, the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 effortlessly masters heavy towing work. With the well thought-out and innovative ballasting and tyre concept, you benefit from the maximum power development of the tractor in the field.

Flexible tyre options

In order for the 550 hp to be converted into maximum towing power, the right ballast and the right tyres are required. Thanks to flexible options for wheel and front weights, the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 comes with an unladen weight of 14 t and a permissible overall weight of up to 23 t. Tyre dimensions can have a diameter of up to 2.35 metres on the rear tyres and 1.84 metres on the front tyres with a wide range of tyre options, the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 is optimally prepared for a wide range of applications. The right tyres are an important component that enable you to benefit from low wear and fuel consumption or increased traction while protecting the soil. For example, with large tyres in conjunction with the VarioGrip tyre pressure regulation system, you can benefit from up to 10% more tractive power or area performance, with maximum soil protection.

Dual tyres – powerful and soil-friendly

An absolute novelty: 480 Row Crop dual tyres ex works. The new compiled concept consisting of tyre, stub rear axle, duo wheel hub, intermediate piece, wheel weight and headstock is offered ex works. This means that the vehicle exterior width remains with the 480 Row Crop dual tyres under 3.5 metres with the aim of enabling easy approval. In this way, the maximum power of the tractor is converted into pure tractive power.

VarioGrip protects the soil, your foundation

The fully integrated Fendt VarioGrip tyre pressure regulation system increases the overall productivity of the machine. You can conveniently adjust the air pressure of the tyres via the terminal to suit your use. At 800 l/min at 12.5 bar, the XL compressor provides the necessary power for fast pressure changes – without any external devices or operation. An optimally adjusted tyre pressure reduces slippage and ground pressure, thus maintaining soil fertility and increasing the tractive power by up to 10%*. At the same time, fuel consumption is reduced by up to 8%*. VarioGrip is available for both flange and stub axles, also in combination with the new concept of the 480 Row Crop dual tyres.

Stub rear axle & Duo wheel hub

The 2.5 m rear axle with single and optional duo wheel hub enables precise track gauge adjustment, optimum traction and effective soil protection. Dual wheels can be mounted directly on the axle with this option. The assembly of the dual wheel on the dual wheel hub directs the force where it is intended. This allows conventional rims to be used reliably, tractive power is effectively transmitted, slippage is reduced and ground pressure is reduced. This allows you to equip the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 for various applications and make the most of it.

Versatile hydraulics

The hydraulic system of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 makes the largest standard tractor on the market into what it is: versatile for a wide range of applications. The implements are efficiently driven and precisely controlled via the powerful hydraulic system and the PTO. Thanks to its high and targeted flow capacity, the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 offers reliable supply and high operational reliability, even for implements with large oil requirements, such as wide precision seed drills. This makes pure power of productive performance that is convincing.

Two hydraulic options are available on the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4: a load-sensing pump (LS) with a flow rate of 220 l/min or two load-sensing pumps that together deliver an impressive total flow rate of 430 l/min. For the second, in addition to the first LS pump, a second pump with a flow rate of 210 l/min is installed. In this way, several functions can be operated simultaneously with different demands on pressure and volume, for example with a precision seed drill. This reduces throttle losses, saves energy and is controlled conveniently from the driver's seat.

Flexibility with front and rear valves

The Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 can be equipped with the required number of valves in the front and rear. The maximum equipment includes up to seven double-acting valves – one in the front, six in the rear. This makes the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 as the largest standard tractor flexible for a wide range of implement strains and applications, which allows you to use the tractor to the maximum.

  • UDK couplings: coupled under pressure with 140 m/l flow rate
  • DCUP couplings: double-sided, can be coupled under pressure with 140 m/l or 170 m/l flow rate
  • FFC couplings: flat-sealing couplings with 140 m/l or 170 l/min flow rate

Comfortable interior: Work has never been so comfortable

Premium comfort in the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4 starts with a seat that automatically adapts to you. Memory function, air suspension, massage and air conditioning ensure individual relief – easily controllable via the terminal. In addition to the premium driver's seat, there are three other comfort seats to choose from. Ergonomic details noticeably support the back, while three thoughtfully placed footrests ensure a relaxed leg position and additional comfort. Thanks to the additional front window heating for the front window made of laminated safety glass and electrically adjustable and telescopic rear-view mirrors, you have the best all-round vision in the cab. The tinted rear window protects you from strong sunlight and reduces the heat input into the cab. Combining these details make your long working day more pleasant and safer.

Best overview thanks to reverse drive control

With the optional reverse drive control of the Fendt 1000 Vario Gen4, the entire driver's cab can be rotated by 180 degrees thanks to the pneumatic support. Particularly practical: The operating logic automatically adapts to the new direction – so you don't have to rethink it all, because the system thinks right there with you. The rotated driver's cab is particularly advantageous for special applications such as forestry applications or municipal work. And you don't have to make any compromises in terms of comfort either: both available coolers and the comfort passenger seat can also be used in combination with the reverse drive control.
