Hand in hand for sustainable agriculture

Sustainable solutions can only be created together. That is why we work closely with trade, science and customers. Particularly in the agricultural value chain – from farm to fork – cooperation is crucial in order to conserve resources and promote sustainable food production. We use our knowledge and commitment specifically for this progress.

Fendt employees support farmers on site

In 2024 Fendt employees volunteered to support Allgäu farmers on their farms. Following the successful launch in 2024, the campaign will be continued. The aim is to experience agriculture first-hand and promote dialogue with farmers.

Participants gain valuable insights into the challenges faced by farmers and the role of Fendt technology in everyday life. This creates a deeper understanding of the practice – an enriching experience for both sides.

Swiss Future Farm

With the Swiss Future Farm, on the other hand, we are focusing on testing existing technologies and optimising them: the farm with its 55 hectares of arable land in Tänikon, Switzerland, is a joint project involving various partners, in which we are testing state-of-the-art machinery and software under real-life conditions. An additional focus of the Swiss Future Farm is transferring knowledge. The project partners present the results of the work, and also the technology used, to a broad public. They also offer workshops and tours for farmers and the employees of the project partners.

Research cooperation for sustainable agriculture

Fendt works with institutes, universities and companies on innovative solutions for agriculture. In the EcoAcker project, an assistance system is being developed to optimise the energy efficiency of tractor-implement combinations in order to enable resource-saving field cultivation.

Another project, FieldDataSync, aims to develop a wireless communication solution for agricultural machinery to improve data exchange directly in the field. Both projects are funded by the BMEL.
