First international award for the new Fendt 942 Vario The high-horsepower tractor picks up the 'Golden Ear' award in Czech Republic

The top-end model from the new 900 series won the 'Golden Ear' award at the Czech agricultural fair Země živitelka, also known as the 'Agrosalon'.

The Agrosalon fair took place from August 22-27 in the town of České Budějovice. Traditionally, the Czech Ministry for Agriculture invites nominees for the fair's 'Golden Ear' competition. The award commends outstanding products and innovations from the industries of plant and animal production, food production and processing, as well as innovative agricultural technology.

Eligible contestants are judged by a panel of experts made up of representatives from the Czech Ministry for Agriculture, the agricultural industry, research institutes, food standards agencies and the trade fair organisers.

The new top-end model of the 900 series, the Fendt 942 Vario, won over the panel with its innovative technology, performance and excellent workmanship.

"The first public launch of the Fendt 900 Vario was at the beginning of July, and the response since then has been phenomenal," said Christian Erkens, Director Sales Fendt, "We are now showcasing the model to local customers at global events. This is the first time the completely newly developed 900 series has been able to demonstrate its efficiency, ease-of-use and performance to the public."
