As an exclusive Fendt partner, BayWa presented the new Fendt 800 Vario Gen5 to the public for the first time at the Rottalschau 2025 trade fair. Since the tractor's debut in Karpfham, BayWa has sold eight of the new series in the Northern Division alone, which covers Franconia and Saxony.

'The 800 series is legendary, and these models are among the most popular tractors in our region too,' says Christian Firsching, Division Manager for the Northern Technology Region. 'Our technology site in Ermetzhofen has been operational since 2017. During this time, we have sold up to 100 Fendt 800 Vario units of various models here. The local team enjoys an excellent reputation among our customers. Ermetzhofen is one of the most efficient workshops within BayWa.'

Chairman of the Fendt Management Board Christoph Gröblinghoff adds the following: "Fendt is the market leader in Germany. It regularly tops the registration statistics. Our sales partner BayWa is an important reason for this. Their technical staff do a first-class job. In Franconia in particular, Fendt machines have enjoyed a very high market share for years, thanks to the excellent service. I am therefore delighted that the first tractor in our new 800 series is going to a customer in this region."

Alexander Kreier, the new owner, runs the Güllax contracting business alongside his farming company. A die-hard Fendt fan with a penchant for brand-new machines, he was one of the first to purchase a Fendt 728 and a Fendt 620 from BayWa. "The 832 Vario is a real dream tractor," says Kreier. "It has excellent visibility and a small turning circle, and the new lighting concept makes it ideal for night-time use."

'Together, we inspire our farming customers. Fendt builds innovative agricultural machinery, and BayWa offers an extensive sales network and exceptional customer service,' says Dr Matthias J. Rapp, Chief Financial Officer of BayWa AG. 'Our customers are often ahead of the curve when it comes to the market launch of new products. The first Fendt IDEAL combine harvester sold in Germany was purchased by a BayWa customer. We are even in the lead when it comes to selling the first 800 series of the fifth generation. Hats off!"

Roger Lepper, Head of Technology at BayWa AG, said: “The partnership between BayWa and Fendt has been going strong for more than 90 years, and the figures speak for themselves. In 2025, BayWa sold more tractors than in the previous year. One in four of the tractors we sell is a Fendt. Farmers trust and value us as a competent partner, especially during time-critical periods such as harvest.'

BayWa Ermetzhofen Team

In January 2017, BayWa merged its technology sites in Uffenheim and Bad Windsheim, consolidating them in Ermetzhofen. The site is equipped with an overhead crane and special tools, enabling even very large agricultural machinery, such as the Fendt IDEAL combine harvester, to be serviced and repaired on site. Six workshop vehicles are available for mobile servicing. A total of 30 BayWa employees, including four trainees, serve agricultural customers at the Ermetzhofen site.
