One in four German farmers bought a Fendt tractor in 2025

According to the KBA, a total of 24,440 new tractors were registered in 2025. This represents a decline of 12.4 per cent compared to 2024, with 3,464 fewer units registered than in the previous year. Fendt once again topped the registration statistics in 2025, with 6,326 newly registered tractors. This gives Fendt a market share of 24.6 per cent in Germany. In other words, almost one in four newly registered tractors in 2025 was a Vario from Marktoberdorf.

According to the official evaluation, Fendt achieved a market share of 30.9 per cent in the 51 hp category, with 6,326 newly registered tractors. Starting at 68 hp, the Fendt e100 Vario is the first model in this category. This means that about one in three registered tractors is a Fendt.

Fendt ranks first in registration statistics in Switzerland, the Netherlands and Denmark

Contrary to the general trend, the number of new tractor registrations in Switzerland increased in 2025 by three per cent compared to 2024. A total of 1,624 tractors were newly registered. With 362 newly registered tractors, Fendt achieved a market share of 22.3 per cent in Switzerland, leading the registration statistics.


The Dutch organisation Fedecom recently published the figures for new tractor registrations. A total of 2,205 new tractors were registered in 2025. This represents a decline of 11.3 per cent compared to 2024. Fendt achieved a market share of 22.4 per cent with 494 newly registered tractors. The best-selling models in the Netherlands were the Fendt 620 Vario, the Fendt 516 Vario and the Fendt 314 Vario.

A total of 1,145 new tractors starting from 0 hp were registered in Denmark in 2025, representing a 26.6 per cent decline compared to 2024. Of the tractors with 40 hp or more, 1,126 were registered, which is a 24.12 per cent decline compared to the previous year. Fendt took first place in new tractor registrations on the Danish market for the first time, achieving a market share of 17.2 per cent for tractors with 0 hp and above and 17.6 per cent for tractors with 40 hp and above with 198 newly registered Varios.
