Yes. The Fendt 300 Vario now also comes with automated steering.

Automated steering is an increasingly important topic, even in the class of the four-cylinder tractors. With its new equipment variant ProfiPlus Fendt 300 Vario, Fendt is now the only agricultural equipment manufacturer to offer a professional system ex-works.

Fendt consistently incorporates the technical innovations from the high-horsepower tractors into the smaller tractor series, and thus allows medium-sized farms to profit from the economic advantages of automated steering. Besides the economic and ecological advantages of saving on seed, fertiliser and crop spraying agents, for many farmers it is also very important that they are able to carry out their work on grassland and vegetable farms efficiently and without becoming tired. From March onwards, Fendt’s most popular tractor series is also available in the equipment variant ProfiPlus. In this variant, the tractor models Fendt 310, 311, 312 and 313 Vario in the performance range of 101 to 132 hp are available with the fully integrated automated steering system VarioGuide. As in the larger series, the customer has the choice between a NovaTel receiver or a Trimble receiver with different degrees of precision from VarioGuide to VarioGuide RTK.

“In combination with the automated steering system, ISOBUS control and headland management, the Fendt 300 Vario is the perfect tractor for maintenance, mineral fertilisation, weeding, mowing or vegetable farming”; Fendt Marketing Director Roland Schmidt explains the necessity for offering the automated steering system also for the 300 series tractors with the ProfiPlus model. “Today, economic and ecological topics also play an important role in the volume segment of the 100 to 200 hp tractors. The new legal framework conditions make it sensible today to have an automated steering system, for instance, for slurry work”, remarks Roland Schmidt.

Fendt now offers a fully integrated automated steering system for tractors from 100 hp onwards since the introduction of the new ProfiPlus system for the series Fendt 300 Vario, which is also available for the self-drive harvesters Fendt forage harvester and Fendt combine harvester.

Furthermore, all Fendt tractors already implement the type-approvals for agricultural and silvicultural vehicles demanded by EU Regulation 167/2013 (in force as of 01 January 2018). As standard, all Fendt tractors are fitted with wide-angle mirrors for improved all-round vision, and thus improved safety. The optional rotary beacons are now available with long-life high light LEDs. For increased safety and comfort, the external hydraulics operation will also be available on the right-hand side in the future, e.g. for operation of the hydraulic top link. The external valve operation in the Fendt 300 Vario is optionally available for the equipment varieties Profi and ProfiPlus.
