Production network with eleven locations worldwide

Fendt machines are manufactured at a total of eleven production sites worldwide. The main site, where the tractors are also produced, is located in Marktoberdorf (Germany). Other German sites are located in Asbach-Bäumenheim, Feucht, Hohenmölsen and Wolfenbüttel. Fendt also has six international locations in Breganze (Italy), Ibirubá, Santa Rosa (Brazil) and the USA: Hesston, Jackson and Beloit.

Diversity, growth and commitment!

The number of employees at Fendt has been growing steadily for several years. Over 6,300 dedicated employees from 64 different nations currently work at the German locations (as of 2026). Fendt's global workforce is made up of more than 10,000 talented employees. This diversity reflects the company's successful international orientation. One remarkable fact is the average length of service of 11.7 years, which emphasises the commitment and loyalty of the workforce to the company.

Fendt in 1st place in the DLG ImageBarometer

Once a year, the DLG (German Agricultural Society) surveys German farmers on the brand strength of companies in the agricultural sector. In the 2025/26 survey, Fendt took first place among the top ten agricultural machinery brands with 59 points. This marks the 19th consecutive year that Fendt has topped the Image Barometer.


The following aspects are taken into account in the survey:

  • Brand knowledge (awareness)
  • Loyalty (current and future use)
  • Brand performance (satisfaction and preference)
  • General brand image

Tractor registrations Germany

The top three spots were taken by Fendt models: the Fendt 728 Vario in first place (1,007 new registrations), the Fendt 724 Vario in second place (868 new registrations) and the Fendt 620 Vario in third place (515 new registrations).

The Fendt 728 Vario is the Germans’ favourite in 2025

According to the KBA, a total of 24,440 new tractors were registered in 2025. Fendt once again topped the registration statistics for 2025 with 6,326 new registrations. This gives Fendt a market share of 24.6 per cent in Germany for tractors from 0 hp upwards.


Shortly after the figures for new tractor registrations for 2025 are released, the ‘nation’s favourite’ is also determined. Fendt takes the top three spots for the most registered tractors, with the Fendt 728 Vario taking first place for the second year running.

FARM MACHINE 2026 – the Fendt 800 Vario sweeps the board with two prizes

The jury has decided on the winner of the prize in the mid-class tractors category of FARM MACHINE 2026. The Fendt 800 Vario is the best mid-class tractor of the year! However, it not only convinced the expert jury, but is also a favourite with the public. The FARM MACHINE 2026 Audience Choice Award also went to the Fendt 800 Vario. Fendt has the best community – many thanks to you for every single voice!

Award for ForageQualityCam Technology in the Fendt Katana

The expert jury selected the Fendt Katana with the forward-thinking ForageQualityCam technology as Farm Machine 2026 in the category “Smart Farming & Robotics”. The ForageQualityCam enables continuous monitoring of the maize grain treatment (CSPS value) from the driver's cab in real time.

As the winner of the “Tractor of the Year 2026” in the MidPower category, the Fendt 516 Vario Gen4 redefines the medium performance segment. Its compact design, high support and axle loads as well as smart technology make it a versatile all-rounder for grassland, farm, yard and road.

Farmers often use machines from different manufacturers, which makes data exchange difficult. FieldDataSync is designed to enable wireless, secure communication in real time and simplify operations. Fendt is part of such a project, which has now received the DLG Agrifuture Concept Award 2025.
