Numerous groups of former Fendt employees gathered around the Fendt Forum well before the official entrance at 2 p.m., clearly chatting animatedly. Memories of colleagues, old departments and shared experiences were being exchanged. Some of them have only recently retired, but some have been retired for twenty or more years - the connection to Fendt remains.

97 years: Franz Eichinger stays connected to Fendt

A special highlight was the photo of the five oldest guests. It honoured their many years of commitment and presence at the celebration. At 97 years old, Franz Eichinger was the oldest guest. His son was also among the invited guests; he was involved in the development of the Fendt Vario transmission. Franz Eichinger started working in mechanical engineering at Fendt in 1954. He has particularly fond memories of his colleagues: "The three of us often went for a walk on Sundays and celebrated carnival together because our wives got on very well," says the 97-year-old. In addition to the friendship between colleagues, he remembers a special ride: "When my son worked in transmission development, I was allowed to take him for his first ride on a Fendt tractor. Since then, tractors have developed a lot over the last few decades."

Even after 35 years of retirement, he continues to follow the company's development in the press, as he is particularly enthusiastic about the continuous development of the products. In addition to memories, he also shared advice aimed primarily at new Fendt employees: "It's important to have a good relationship with your work colleagues and to understand each other. And if you are really sure that you are technically right in a discussion, then you can trust that and shouldn't let yourself be unsettled."

Barely retired at the end of 2020, Sepp Nuscheler founded the Fendt Classic Club International in 2021 - an association for enthusiasts of the Fendt brand and historic Fendt tractors. enenWith a look back at the year 2024 and an outlook for 2025, such as the planned visit to Agritechnica, he inspired enthusiasm to become a member of the club.

The guests used the hours together for inspiring conversations, cheerful exchanges, refreshing contacts and were very happy about the sometimes unexpected reunion.
